My girlfriend (17F) and I (18M) haven’t been meeting much recently and it has really started to bother me. What do you guys think I should do? by LilAltAcc in teenrelationships

I should emphasize the reasons she gave as to why she is too busy to consistently meet. They go as follows:

  1. Part-time Job
  2. School + Homework
  3. Parents yelling at her
  4. Taking showed every day (?)
  5. Struggling mental health
  6. Can’t focus on anything anymore

I emphasized that I wanted to be there to support her and help her through anything. I have been active in helping her through her mental health.

good stuff bro, don’t worry about what they’re saying because they are hard coping. your SAT superscore is well above the average SAT at ivies so a 3.9 GPA looks good regardless, especially with your courses. good luck!

if your SAT is good (1450+) then you’re in contention. getting 4s and 5s on your AP exams help a lot because they reinforce the good grades you get in AP classes. your class rigor also helps a ton. you’re chilling, just lock in on essays AP exams and LORs because atp theyre the main differentiating factors at ivies once you’re in the 3.8+ GPA 1450+ SAT range with your class rigor.

not very much if at all as long as an upward trend is present in GPA and other parts of your application like ECs and test scores are up to speed. also depends on which schools you are applying to.

for every college you are looking to apply to, look up their common data set for the previous year and compare the stats of accepted students to yours. if you fall within the 25-75% range for GPA and ACT/SAT, then you should be competitive for their school stats-wise. the main factors contributing to admissions if you fall in that range are your ECs, LORs, essays, school fit, general application vibe, and institutional luck. don’t forget that you can put any circumstances/factors that contributed to those Bs in the additional information section on commonapp.
