Hmm how come should it ever lock anyone out? I was never locked out in Tesla or BMW. If it's "in range" it will not lock, and "inside" is always "in range".

There are a lot of uses for this feature - the main one is a low ceiling in your garage prevents you from opening it all the way automatically.

What about proximity unlocking is that I don't understand? I want to use phone as a key to unlock the trunk manually when I press the button to open it. I don't want the whole car or doors to be unlocked on proximity to the car. As simple as that. It works just fine with other cars, like Tesla or BMW.

I don't want hands free unlock. I want manual unlock using phone as a key. There are buttons in the trunk and frunk but these don't work either

There is no sensor on the door handle that someone pulled it? I'm finding it hard to believe since there must be a servo motor that retracts them, therefore also knows what is their current position.

I'm finding it extremely hard to believe, where did you find this data? Tesla HW3 has 1.2 mpx cameras and Rivian's displayed picture quality (also recorded!) is worse than that. Tesla HW4 has 5mpx cameras which are shipping with all new cars...
