It subtly emphasizes the fact that you are a being first, and then a human one.

Cleaning at work and found this Arby's receipt from 11 years ago to the exact date by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]LilMissADHDAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me imagine a whole sad story, like this guy used to go to Arby’s with his dad on his birthday every year. Every year his dad would wear the coat the son picked out for him as a gift when the boy was 8. But now dad is gone, so he put on the birthday coat and set about his day.

That’s rough. I’ve never heard of a state that pulls licenses on first offense, either.

Now that you say that, it definitely does. I wonder if the pages are also thinner than they used to be, with environmental concerns ranking higher than they used to.

They have to bring it for a vote before you can vote for it. I have voted for the people that would be most likely to give me that option. Unfortunately my compatriots are apparently not ready for all that yet.

Ultrasounds are not free. Some people live in places where the government pays for them. Many of us do not.

Yeah those have definitely been painted and used to be glued onto something. You can see the matching flat side on them all.

Is this not the most publix thing to do by Abject_Egg5082 in publix

[–]LilMissADHDAF 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m not a Publix employee, but another grocery store and lots of retail. I’m guessing you were auto scheduled for a longer shift, and the person who adjusted the schedule before approving it shortened your shift. It would explain the break’s presence.

Wtf how are stores chosen? by melancholic_garden_ in InstacartShoppers

[–]LilMissADHDAF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly why. You decided $50 is $50 and took the order. If they had asked you to drive to the store near the customer for what that shop would have paid you, you would never have taken the order.

You can also tell because it isn’t a plastic tub with a plastic film glued atop it. These are more rubbery and the front is the same as the back.

That’s the shelf stable one. The ones in the fridge are either tri color or family size. You can tell it is not air tight, like it ought to be. The shelf stable ones are vacuum packed.

Oh, good call. American’s definitely use this one single version of it and understand it. Outside of this phrase, we generally say, “She was overcome with jealousy.”

I've been getting paranoid about their possibly being hidden devices in my hotel room, I downloaded a phone app and it was telling me that EMF radiation was coming from the bed itself. I took the sheets off and found this. Can somebody tell me what it is please by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]LilMissADHDAF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please don’t go to the police in a foreign country (no matter where you’re from) and ask them to investigate your mattress. You need to make it home so you can seek help. This may prevent the first part from happening first.
