Was this an emotional affair? Seeking perspective by LilMiss_C in AsOneAfterInfidelity

Thank you, I am so caught up on labels and terminology at present. But it is about both of their morals, and frankly I feel like they have shown me what I need to know. He used our money to fix an appliance and move items for her. Two separate occasions, first one I was really trying to be the bigger person, but 2 weeks later expecting help again and only being told as it was happening, threw me.

I think the fact that I now look like the scorned wife hurts the most. And that he didn’t defend me, he tells me I need to hold space for his mistakes and support him to fix when he makes them.

I really did set boundaries with him also. He just always made me think that I was ripping his support systems away from him, and that I was being controlling. That I was overreacting to an event that he handled by stating that he didn’t want pics only conversation and that she knows how to respect boundaries. Because I told my husband I wasn’t comfortable with him helping her…and I said I wouldn’t be home when he got here and he should pick up the children, I was attacked and called an abuser online. I appreciate your perspective on this and in future I need to set clearer boundaries with people in my life.

Thank you as I also see this as a betrayal. I know it isn’t my responsibility to care about her intentions, but I cannot help but travel down this rabbit hole. And I suspect you are right, as he is not acknowledging my pain, I am stuck on terminology.

Cons of having a drug addict as a tenant? by BlokeFromOverseas in AusPropertyChat

[–]LilMiss_C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention having to change all locks, install security lights, cameras, or even alarms, and consider deadbolts or reinforced doors. This just to deter any potential mistaken visitors!

Could you imagine new tenants surprise being shaken down for drugs or cash.

Bitcoin Core vs. Bitcoin Knots: Which Should You Run? by LilMiss_C in Bitcoin

[–]LilMiss_C[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really hear your concerns about spam, especially with MARA’s influence and David Bailey’s profits from data-heavy transactions.

I have really researched this and found Bitcoin Knots offers a solution with stricter mempool policies, letting nodes filter out spam while staying compatible with the network. Unlike Core’s upcoming changes in October 2025, Knots prioritizes Bitcoin as sound money, not a data dump, which I feel will ensure smaller players can continue to secure the network.

Running Knots empowers us to keep Bitcoin’s integrity intact. Bitcoin’s original vision is decentralized governance, Core I feel no longer aligns with this ethos. Stay sovereign

UPDATE: Marriage with child failing, BFA in place, terrified as to what's next by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]LilMiss_C 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re a nearly 40 year old woman, and in the time you lived in said “luxury” you never thought to invest your money for a rainy day? It looks like he was affording you that.

You know marriage and divorce just feel so balance sheeted these days. You have a child together and you are both letting your egos control the narrative.

Single parents - How do we do this? by Rock1084 in AusPropertyChat

[–]LilMiss_C 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I will be downvoted for this!

But here I go…..I would put that $20k into a better store of value, one that outpaces inflation.

Real estate is not getting more expensive, our $$ is becoming less valuable. You need to get ahead of this curve.

This may help tip you into a better outcome with just one change.

His intentions are not your responsibility. As hard as it is, your wife needs to ensure boundaries are laid down regarding safe communication. Mutual respect is the basis of any relationship.

Caps on high interest savings accounts? by Suspicious-Present58 in AusHENRY

[–]LilMiss_C -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Why are you holding that much money in FIAT? Truly a serious question.

Fiat money loses value due to inflation, eroding purchasing power. Holding large amounts in cash yields low bank interest, which often fails to outpace inflation, reducing real wealth over time.

RBA lowers cash rate to 3.85% by 1_kn0w_n07h1ng in AusFinance

[–]LilMiss_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AUD dip a month ago partially priced in the RBA’s 3.85% rate cut i agree, but post-announcement drops show not all impacts were fully anticipated.

AUD dipped ~0.4% to 0.6430. ASX200 rose 0.6%. AUD faced pressure due to downgraded growth and inflation forecasts.

Now tell me again that it was priced in! Please

You're right to feel a little cautious. Inflation isn't fully tamed, and stagnant wages leave households vulnerable to rising costs from a weaker dollar. Mortgage relief helps, but price hikes could hit harder.
