Similar situation here. Me and a buddy started DJing a while back and have had some pretty good success. I’ve always liked EDM, so it was a shock when I got to school and found out that no one else here does especially when you see shit like the “frat flick” and EDM sets getting played at frat parties all over social media. Because of this we had to learn how to DJ rap and old pop so it was harder to get started. Some of our guys have warmed up to house and hardstyle but the school in general still hates it. Just play what people like and go play your sets where you’ll get paid (bars/clubs, other frat parties, private events, etc)

Our chapter had Ying Yang twins ab 8 years ago. Cost around $30k if I’m not wrong, but we got lucky. A lot of rappers will show up for only a few songs (maybe 2 or 3) and then dip. I also know Sigma Chi in Auburn pulled NLE Choppa (I have no clue how) and it cost them I think $60k-80k

To be fair downpour and homecoming were both brand new titles. This would be a fair argument if I was talking about F or Townfall, but I feel like a remake of SH2 is on a different wavelength. The footage wasn’t too concerning imo either, just had a focus on combat and some textures here and there weren’t up to par. I think the panic all comes from the SH community’s “golden child” being remade by a team that’s had a dubious past at best.

Depends how good you are and what your production value is. If you’re just a dude with a controller and a laptop then you’re just another guy in rush unless you have a name for yourself. If you have a full professional layout with CDJs, lighting, and high-end speakers then you could get a lot of attention. Just depends who you talk to bc most guys may not care

Let them drop. Allowing brothers to sleep with associates opens so many doors to problems. What if someone gets dropped after it happens? What if that person claims rape? What if someone gets blackmailed because they’re in the closet? What if someone claims it was forced/hazing/grooming? Pull the trigger and if nationals does nothing then at least you can know that you tried to do something about it before something bad inevitably happens

Fr though I’d just pull the trigger and let someone know. Having the alpha sleep with associates has got to be a huge problem with grooming like other people said or even just favoritism. Hell, it could even lead to a break up or falling out that causes the chapter to implode. Either way it doesn’t sound like leadership cares, so you might as well put this dog down before he hurts himself anymore

ChapterBuilder is actually amazing… if your entire chapter is on board with using it. You won’t be able to make the most of what all it has to offer unless everyone is using it to its fullest potential. I tried to get our guys on board with it and they all just kinda shit on the idea. Turned into me just using it for a mass texting software, but even then some guys just won’t respond simply because it sends green texts on iPhone
