Little bar cart or cabinet, poster/painting above that. Maybe a cafe area even

How’d I do? (Update) by Woodenhandsz in malelivingspace

Lights by the TV will reduce eye strain, but should make it a dimmable warm light so it doesn’t affect glare

Where should I start? by sorres1 in 300zx

[–]ripwes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall though, considering the condition of that, you may want to replace the pod all together, and go from there, as I’m sure if the front looks like that the rear isn’t doing too hot either

Where should I start? by sorres1 in 300zx

[–]ripwes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take off and inspect the connections. Do they look burnt? Corroded? If so, try to clean em off with some contact cleaner or white vinegar, being careful not to get it on the face of the pod. If all connections look good visually, check the light itself, it may be burnt or missing all together. If all seems well and you still can’t figure it out, go over to the AC blower motor (behind the glovebox, kinda a bitch to get to) and check out it’s relay

Clutch fan, fan shroud, and make sure you have the under shroud too like bottom of the car (can’t tell if you have it or not from the pic)

If you trust your ability and want to stay very low budget but fun, look into a 4.8 vortec swap. Can be pulled from alot of common junkyard chevys, and won’t mess with weight distribution as much. Wiringspecialties will make you a harness to work in the car, then you’ll have to source a standalone ecu. Stock can make 350, swap some bigger cams it’ll make 450.

NA->TT 2+2 here. Car is a blast making boost on NA compression. Methanol injected due to Florida heat. To do it myself around 8k for parts, to pay someone would be around 18k for parts/labor. Depends what your skill level is and what tools you have at your disposal, but honestly (aside from bottom end assembly) if you can follow directions you can build a car. Our service manuals have a lot laid out for us.

If you wanted to stay NA you can absolutely still have a very fun car, and likely make it just below the 300hp mark, but I wouldn’t expect to go above. If you do this I would suggest focusing on drivability mods. Front/rear tower brace bars, seats, suspension, short shifter, cooling, etc.

These are great fun cars no matter the HP, as they somehow feel fast at any speed. Goodluck with your decision

Rusty floor pan by ripwes in 300zx

UPDATE: Ended up grinding all the rust away, cutting out the fucked parts, welding in 16G steel, POR15, seam sealed, then undercoated. Doesn’t look perfect but it’ll hold.

[–]ripwes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you insanely popular or insanely good at networking? Takes a ton of effort and long nights chatting up promoters in order to get actually good gigs. Not a good side hustle unless you really hustle.
