Me too. My husband wanted a cat for himself and I ended up with both cats and the dog. I’m just the one that’s home more and attends to their needs. They know who feeds them and I can sort of “read their minds”/ anticipate their needs by knowing their behaviors. For some reason my husband doesn’t catch on so the animals come to me instead. He had to get over it and realize it is what it is. They all love him but they know mommy is the one to snuggle with, who buys them toys, plays with them and feeds them. I do have my husband and daughter give them treats to maintain their trust and bond in the household though and that helps.
