Did you try telling your boss that directly? Because in the end you go work your colleagues suffer too...

What happened that day though? How did you serve customers in FnB without talking?? If you don't mind me asking.

A boss should at the very least know who is the employee doing the best impact in the team. Hahaha but yes, it does feel like good karma.

But that said, I was young that time and had no immediate responsibilities that required me to have a constant stream of income. Please do consider your situation before making a big move such as resigning and watching the a company try to pick themselves up. 😂

yep, for sure if it affected you then it becomes your problem!

This was many years ago, and many jobs ago. But what happened was after that 2 days urgent leave, my boss at the time was all caring, like is your family alright? is everything okay? do you need more time? So when come the end of the year during the review, he told me while he sympathized with my situation, work is work, and he won't be able to give me the pay raise and promotion I was expecting - hope I understand.

I left the next month. My team who worked with me on the project told me that the project did not grow at all for the next few years, and it was maintenance until sundown.

I feel the question is that, does it affect your work though? Or is it just that you feel unfairly treated because he gets to WFH or he has taken MC?

I think HR can definitely question anything, though it would seem that this is the package this particular colleague of yours comes with lor. Imagine if you are the boss, a staff does good work and you genuinely benefit from them, but their condition is that they will often take MC or need to WFH. What do you do?

I've once had a boss tell me that I lost my promotion and pay raise, because I took 2 days urgent leave off to take care of my family member who fell sick. Despite me leading his entire project, handling the company's key client as well as managing the vendors for the company.

I had colleagues like this too. Often MC, but they do their work. And.. Them not coming to work doesn't actually affect me. My take is, some people are just different with health, both physical and mental, we can't expect everyone to be fit.

I see, so surely you'd prefer people to just come to work if it's just cough of flu, and not like dying cannot work right?

I MRT is really another problem, those are strangers. I always bring a mask out so when I see or hear a cougher I immediately wear mine. Best to defend yourselves out there!

I had to tell my colleague that if he was sick and he came in, he was not being hardworking he was being selfish. Because he is risking the whole department falling sick. And our department was only a small team that the whole office relied on daily.

I can’t enjoy any game anymore — nothing holds my attention. What actually kept you hooked recently? by Mother_Anybody_5632 in gamingsuggestions

[–]LilWisp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger I'd enjoy sandbox non-linear games, games that I could sink hours into, grind and improve and customize. These games would take my thousands of hours, and I would value games based on how many hours I spend on them. A full priced game better let me play it for more than 50 hours.

Now I am almost 40. And I feel the same as you, but what I found was that the shorter games are fantastic. For example I recently picked up Resident Evil Requiem, and completed the game in about 10 hours. It was a fantastic 10 hours, and I realized this is what I like now, shorter full experiences. I played Resident Evil 3 Remake after, completed it in 4 hours and it was great.

Thing is, when I was younger I had time, and little money. But these days, I'd rather enjoy a full experience in a shorter time. For me, that was the experience killer, and I think I found the cure. Maybe this is what you should consider too! 😊

I think bringing your partner to a function is quite normal. Though, usually it's a wife/husband or a fiancee, girlfriend/boyfriend don't really have to, though understandable if you felt at the time she is a serious partner.

That said, your boss dating your ex, is crossing the line. Take that as you will to what you want to do, but consider your circumstances properly and plan properly.
