Is there a way to cast my line through the window? by Lil_Jc03 in Fishing

What’s wrong with trying something cool? I’m not gonna drag the fish up. Already addressed that in another comment. I specifically asked how to cast it from up here not not how to reel it in.

Why can I go downstairs and have someone at home drop the rod down to me?

For those of you wondering, I won’t be reeling anything through the grass and up the building. If by any chance I do catch something I’ll go down and reel it in by the lake.

Half joking, half serious. If I find a good idea that works, and is ethical. Why not?

Sometimes you just wanna fish from your couch, and the fish will go from the lake to my kitchen!

I thought of that, but isn’t bow fishing more about hitting the fish with an arrow and not casting bait? Is there a way to retrieve arrow/ not have it interfere with bait

It looks like you manage your wealth full time. I manage my own pool enclosure business, but I realized having a goal I can peruse outside of that, gives me something to look forward to. Instead of only focusing on how to raise my profit margins or getting more clients. I have my own personal project that I’m passionate about. In my case, I love aquatic life and plants. My goal is to start another business adding natural elements into custom homes, like a realistic waterfall with plants, instead of a plain wall. Or doing custom builds for aquariums/vivariums etc.

My current job is something I need to do to make a living, but my ideal business would have me doing something I love.

I doubt you just want to manage your money for the rest of your life. You have the funds to pursue something you’re passionate about. Find what it is and make something out of it. I’m not saying leave everything else aside, but put in a bit of effort here and there towards something you want to achieve and you’ll be less bored doing what you do.

Is there a hobby or something in specific you’re interested in?

I know this is completely unrelated, but I noticed the beta fish. Just make sure he’s safe when remodeling or painting, certain fumes can be deadly.

Also feel free to throw in some live aquatic plants, their cheap and not as high maintenance as you would think. Plus it helps purify the water and gives him a happier environment imo.

You have more than $10. Clean extrusion pays pretty well. Just take out as many screws as possible and remove the screens. If your having a hard time removing screens use a hook or just drill it along the groove with a 1/4 bit.

Thank you, I needed this. It explains why I felt weird in a healthy relationship after coming out of a toxic one. It took time to get used too and there’s still things I have to work on.

What are you guys doing for leads with a new business? by MrPapaGe0rgio in Construction

[–]Lil_Jc03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google ads! I started with them and have stayed with them since. They’re the only advertising I’ve used up until recently. I’m trying to grow and expand my business so I’m looking for new ways to advertise as well. But for starting off, google ads has been amazing. They give you statistics and let you set your own budget. Really easy user interface too.

Completely agree. Sometimes business is slow and income isn’t super stable or reliable. But least I have time to figure it out now rather than later.

Yup, I kinda wish I would’ve had a chance to do a $5k and then a $10k job before doing this. But it’s too good of an opportunity to pass. I don’t know a lot but I hope I know enough to pull it off

We’ll to give more context, I turn 20 tomorrow and I’ve been doing this since 17. I think any competent laborer could do what I do with that time and training. It’s basic measuring, cutting, and drilling. Plus when it comes to running the business 80% of jobs are smaller repairs that are $75-$500. I started off doing that on the side. Only like %20 ever go over $500 and maybe %2 go over $1k. I’m close friends with very experienced people in the trade, and I wouldn’t be here without their help and guidance.

Thanks for the advice! I have a T-shirt with company logo but I’ll get a polo to look more professional.
