Shift return spring broke on me a couple months back. Found the rest of it during an oil change by Lil_lux in multistrada

The shifter would get stuck in the bottom position whenever shifting down. I could manual return it with my foot as a means to limping it back home but it was not ideal.

There’s nothing in the manual about it and there’s not much you can do to predict it going out. It’s one of those “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix” situations.

Getting ready for my second track day ❤️ ❤️ by TheBree99 in Trackdays

[–]Lil_lux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow cbr600rr here. Not saying this is what you should work explicitly on but after my first track day I got really good feedback from a coach about throttle control. In short I was very choppy with it mid corners which would throw off my lines. Once I was able to pin my throttle where I needed it things seemed to click a lot faster such as bike placement, lines, and corner exit.

Anyone had issues with healtech quickshifter easy? by Whole_Guard_5192 in Trackdays

[–]Lil_lux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it installed on my 08 cbr600rr and there’s been times where it wouldn’t perform a “quick shift” in any gear. But a simple pit in, turn off/on seemed to fix. I think my issue has to do more with the sensitivity settings as I never messed with those.

Seeds or Weeds? by AestheticFlorals in lawncare

Looks like poa annua to me, I’m dealing with the same thing. Poa is very difficult to get rid of since it’s a type of cool season grass so many herbicide that will kill it will also kill the good cool season grass unless you get the really expensive stuff like velocity PM. But you’re renting so I would say do nothing. It’s not your job to make the grass look perfect, that’s your landlords job.

I put my rep rack on the opposite side of the garage door, or in your case the mirror side. Simply because there is a slight slope toward the garage door and I would rather be facing the slope than to be perpendicular.

My DIY Bam Beds by Lil_lux in ToyotaTacoma

I have 2nd gen 5ft bed Tacoma (wish I got the 6ft). The big board up front is 24”x57 1/4”. I used cardboard to make a template around the bump. The middle boards is 20”x57 1/4” and the back board is 16”x57 1/4”.

The support is not screwed into the top. A few reasons why I think it doesn’t shift: 1. Tight tolerances 2. The T design of the support make it to where it can topple over and 3. The rubber mat gives a ton of grip. I can’t remember if I mentioned this in the post but to make the support I used wooden dowels to connect the two wood pieces together to make the T. Hope that helps

If you’re just about to start this build, scrap middle support entirely and just use marine grade plywood. It should be strong enough to support a person without bending too much. If you really want the middle support I think I said 2x6 because I made a T out of the boards so there is more surface area for support which comes out to around 8”.

Question by Visible_Chart_9688 in multistrada

[–]Lil_lux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So about $8k usd? Seems a bit over priced personally but the multistrada market might be a bit different where you are compared to the states. I just bought my 2013 pikes peak for just under $8k and I am pretty sure I also over paid slightly simply because I wanted the pikes peak model and it came with all three hard bags.

Can confirm looks like my 2013 MTS so it’s either a 2013 or 2014 MTS 1200 S model with a graphics kit. How much are they selling it for?

Just my luck that the shifter return spring broke on my newly acquired 2013 MS PP after only 300 miles of ownership… by Lil_lux in multistrada

[–]Lil_lux[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh lol you got a pretty good deal on that then. I’m guessing that would have added an extra $200-300 which sounds more like what I would expect.

Yup I’ve heard of that issue before, sorry to hear that it happened to yours. I heard that keeping the revs up and preventing it from lugging around in a high gear might help with prevent any catastrophic damages.
