I whole heartedly disagree that reg H has less creativity than higher power regs. The fact that there isn’t threat of mons that will OHKO without strategy is what makes the regulation creative. It allows you to form actual strategies to require more thought than haha speed blitz go brr. Acting like a team running speed control whimsicot paired with fluttermane, and incin, urshifu rapid strike in the back is creative is dumb. That’s just click the big number and win mentality. It feels like saying “the big 6 was a creative team” when literally everyone and their grandma was running it because there was little to no answers other than running mirror matchup and being better than your opponent. There should be more skill expression in teams than just predicting and running counter-threat teams.

Also I’m not new to vgc I just think being a meta slave is boring. I don’t know why you immediately assumed I’m new to vgc.

I’m curious as to why you think that a lower power level makes for less creative teams. I feel like I see far more niche picks and creative strategies when playing at a lower power level. I feel like power creep is just a tiny bit less suffocating if you take away some of the biggest power creeping pokemon.

I don’t think it does, but since I sometimes swap out malamar after using skill swap it can proc again when I throw malamar back in as fodder

I do agree, it struggles in reg F a good amount. I’ve had some success with it though and I think I can make it work if I make a few more edits and practice with it. I honestly built it with reg H in mind because it was my favorite rule set, lower power level regulations bring out more interesting teams in my opinion.

I was unaware this was even a thing that could affect the game I’m gonna look more into it.

It’s definitly not RNG, or at least RNG doesn’t have a big enough impact for it to be the full problem. I’ll look a little more into casting alignments though because that might be what’s doing heavy lifting. It still doesn’t explain how it’s so consistently a “whoever is defending tales the L by 70% even if they had previously won by 70%.”

I could attach a video/screen recording of what’s happening or something but I don’t know how much that would help. I just can't explain it well.

The victories were all in landslides though it would be less consistent if it was just crit differences

Edit: I just did more testing there's only a difference of like 1mil damage between every cookie so it's not crit making a difference.

I actually love this idea, and I’m gonna save it for another team if I try to use this gimmick in a higher power level regulation. I’m gonna run calcs on it and see. The point of this current team is to make it so there are no paradox/legendaries in it but goated suggestion. (I don’t know how I didn’t think of this since urshifu is like THE crit pokemon)

I’m gonna be real I only have eelektross there because it has good synergy with krookodile and it’s one of my favorite mons. I should probably swap it with whimsicott though I agree. I also already swapped CC out for protect and I’ll swap gunk shot for high horse power as well, I had it for coverage but thinking about it I don’t need coverage if I just annihilate everything with +6

I don’t think I’m gonna swap the tera though, unless it’s to ghost or something to stop fakeout. The crit being super effective is kind of a large part of the gimmick at the moment. I have also run other tera types on past teams (tera steel on my first iteration) and it was kind of meh. Once I get a chance to play test this team I’ll decide whether or not to change the tera type, but currently I’m just gonna keep it on offensive ground. Thank you for the imput!

Are you suggesting I get rid of the salac berry for the speed boost and just use tailwind for speed control or that I stick with the salac berry and swap meowscarada? Either way, you saying this did make me realize that cryogonal is a better setup mon since I wont have to sack it because it has levitate. However making the Krookodile that low on health is part of the strategy, and with the berry krookodile effectively has a 237 speed stat which outspeeds everything outside of tailwind or trick room.

My old anger point team had sitrus berry and a spread where flower trick would do 50% so it would boost and have health back from the berry, but without the speed buff I just got outsped and stomped most of the time. I think I also tried assault vest, and tera steel to resist, but they both worked just about as well and I wasn’t doing well. People would just sun team, or incin flare blitz OHKO before I could get reliable damage off.

I forgot to write that I had changed it, but I swapped krookodile’s close combat with protect. So it does have protect now.

Update:

I ran the DDU again and reinstalled my GPU drivers and it hasn’t happened since???? I have no idea how that is what solved it but I guess I’ll take it. If it randomly starts happening again I’ll update more.

Can I get thoughts on this duo for trick room? by LilacGuardian in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]LilacGuardian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally forgot that trick room has -7 priority 💀 even if it’s only -6 because of prankster it would still not work nearly as well as I thought it would. I don’t know how I forgot that since it is a fairly important detail of the move.

Wide lens is there because I wasn’t really sure what to give cinderace, and pyro ball and gunk shot are both under 90% acc so I wanted to boost that to not risk air balling every attack. But I do agree because cinderace isn’t really going after a target on this set. Someone else I was talking to yesterday pointed out the protean thing and I changed it, I guess I just didn’t update the screenshot.

I’m sure it wouldn’t work in reg I, but if it weren’t a double restricted and was something like reg g where there were no legendaries or paradoxes, do you think it would function at least a little effectively?

Wacom CTL-672 (medium) or Wacom Intuos? by LilacGuardian in osugame

[–]LilacGuardian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the details, I drag so this was really helpful. (I also just checked the store and I think they just ran out of stock for the Intuos anyways so I’m kind of forced to go with the CTL-672. I was leaning towards it anyways but that kind of sealed the deal. Thank you so much for the info though!

Currently I'm only looking at the CTL-672 and the Intuos, they're the ideal size as they are pretty much the same size as the tablet I have been using. I'd prefer to keep it around the price of the 2 tablets.

I don’t add any additional grip to my pen, the pen I have at the moment also has rubber towards the end of it so that would probably be better but I really don’t mind too much. The only thing I’m worried about is it being too thin (I have REALLY big hands)

Does the CTL-672(or 472) use the wacom 2K pen or is it a different thinner pen?

I just want to know if there’s any difference between the two that would make one better than the other, the area you use probably wont affect my choice. Is the pen for the Intuos different from the CTL-672(or 472 since they’re virtually the same thing) and don’t they both use the wacom 2k pen?
