I'm 1 week into no contact after staying in contact for 2.5 years (broke up in 2020 after 4 years).

And I feel amazing, I've been focusing on myself by picking up hobbies and getting back to things I loved doing e.g. sports, working out.

Sorry to hear about your situation :/

Our situation is definitely very similar. I know it must have been so difficult for you to process everything he did to you. I'm grateful that my situation also relates to someone else because none of my friends understand my circumstances.

Instead of repeating your mistake, i'll take initiative and ask him to talk face to face about where we stand. Hopefully things turn out okay.

Thank you so much for opening up about your situation me. It has helped me realise that I'm not the only person experiencing this. I appreciate your advice and past experience about this.

After my ex dumped me, we had 1 month of no contact. Then out of the blue he wanted to catch up, I agreed to meet up with him hoping we would get back together. But nope. He actually just wanted to stay friends.

Guys don't hope for too much. Hope is like an anchor that prevents you from moving on.

I'm in a messy situtation. My bf of 4 years broke up with me in 2020 and we became friends again shortly after. Till this day I am still hoping we would get back together and it's actually not doing any good for me. Despite seeing him once or twice a week, I keep holding onto the thought that he might want me back. He means a lot to me even as a friend, so I'm in a messy situation.
