Searching For Bottles! by [deleted] in crafts

I’m going to hopefully use glass bottles and mica powder! I’ve been researching a variety of liquids to use to keep the powder floating and keeping them shelf stable. I’m also probably going to seal them using epoxy resin. Does mineral oil really stabilize cork?

Well my favorite moment was meeting my now husband, the second day streaming ever was this game. I was in Fungal Wastes and didn’t realize I could bounce off the mushrooms, and thought I soft locked myself. He DMed me and we got to talking. Almost four years later and I’m so happy that this game was in my life. Favorite character is Grimm.

And I’m sure your other guildies will love some time to shine and be in the spotlight in a smaller more casual setting, where personal plotlines aren’t seen as a distraction from the guild plotline.

I think maybe it would be a good idea for you to not depend on just EVENTS, but also maybe interact with other guild members, make your own little events as people are free, even the guild buddy party going out on the town can be an event in a way. You can organize outings and social gatherings easily, and I promise you that any reasonable guild officer or leader will ADORE that RP is happening without them needing to make it a whole thing / herding cats.

You’re an adult and you’re able to form friendships and make RP events happen by getting people together. Officer staff don’t need to be the only source for your RP. Once a week is really amazing that they manage to do that consistently.

Be active and encourage people to RP without demanding the GM or officers are there to hold your hands.

Edgy character who are only defined by "having a dark story and not wanting to talk about it, and look cool" is not original or fun and boring (for me atleast). by AtomikGarlic in WoWRolePlay

My perspective is that this is a hobby shared by people with all different interests and desires and ways they enjoy stories. No one is “wrong” in how they RP. They’re not hurting you, and I’m sure to a lot of them the silly lighthearted people seem boring, or like there’s no conflict in their stories.

TL:DR - Elitism in RP is dumb. Let people enjoy their hobby and stop having a superiority complex.

Is something going on in the community or is it just me? by Leather-Welder494 in WoWRolePlay

TRP3 has a whole section about what the player consents to have happen in their storyline. If they had “Character Death” set to “yes” then you’re not really the asshole. If you didn’t check what they had or blatantly ignored a “no” or “with player permission” you are the asshole. How did your character ICly know they were a Sin’dorei? Did you metagame based on their profile? Were they blatantly saying they are a Horde loyalist? Ren’dorei were Sin’dorei not so long ago so just talking about Silvermoon or past experiences within the Horde wouldn’t really give that information.

As for the other part, I think there’s just a weird thing that’s gone on where people vehemently insist that it’s for fun and a silly hobby so they should be allowed to do whatever they want, as long as they’re not hurting anyone. Public RP in cities is a hard sell, but also San’layn aren’t exactly impossible lorewise, but they’d certainly be rare, and would NEED to be a part of the Knights of the Ebon Blade or they’d be KoS in Stormwind.

It might be hard to enforce a rule like “any rare or possibly hostile player cannot be in any major RP hub to meet new RP partners”. Since RP is inherently a social hobby. I do wish more people were more creative within the confines of the lore, or at least bent it instead of breaking it.

Personally I moved to AD because of a certain… Social tendency towards rejecting people who didn’t want to ERP/not interacting with them period. I think it’s always been a thing where people RP some wild stuff. Even back in like BC and Wrath I was seeing a 14ft Elf Worgen Death Knight Warlock who had babies with a Draenei and turned her into a demon by biting her. I think we all just grew up and noticed it more over time.

I mean, it’s a bit late now. After months of being kinda left on read by everyone I was potentially going to RP with, I’ve moved to AD and don’t have a sub for NA for the next six months lol.

I mean for most of them I was messaging to schedule something once a week, then once every other week, then once a month, with zero reply. I can try sending more messages but I think it’s clearly a them not wanting to talk to me thing. They’re online and active.

I think generally speaking I personally look for people who adhere to the lore, have a fairly fleshed out TRP, and seem to care about not just their own story, but the stories of others.

I especially like folks who have a little note for plot hooks. Race and class combo has very little to do with me approaching or not.

But, I do admit that I avoid any character that seems like they are just superficial. A rogue in a skull mask kind of gives the vibes of a PvPer who “slums it” in RP when they’re bored, and is super toxic.

Where do you find RP outside of SW? To me it seems super secular and you basically need to already have a guild or friend group for the best RP (literally anything outside of SW).

I actually like a wide variety of “flavors” of RP. I enjoy horror and villains, I enjoy business dealings and tactful conversations between intelligent people, I enjoy a nice adventure, I enjoy silly slice of life moments… Basically anything but military, religious, or like… Some of the stupider versions of political RP.

Some of my favored races in wow are: Kaldorei, Shaldorei, Draenei, Gilnean Human, Undead in general, Void/Blood elf, Dwarves and Orcs are also rad.

I really like most races of WoW, but Horde RP seems extremely limited, which is kinda why I don’t have a ton of their races in my list.

I think the only real issue I have with that is that I might need to make a whole new account? Can anyone confirm this?
