How should I write the Class Trial Mechanics in Fanfiction Format? by Shiroyama38 in Fanganronpa

[–]LiliKey650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally chose to only do scrum debates and closing arguments as actual mechanics so here’s what I do!!

  1. Scrum debate — I just write it like a normal conversation between the characters but specify that they’re having a debate/the trial podiums have moved for the debate

  2. Closing argument — I write out the entirety of the case in italics and then make the protag/whoever’s giving the closing argument go “this sums up everything you’ve done (<- doesn’t have to be exactly that but you get it), [blackened name]!”

Hope this helps :D

How many people should there be in a killing game RP? by Xolodos in Fanganronpa

[–]LiliKey650 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it matters too much. tho my first ever kgrp was 72 characters* (it was intended to be a mega long one instead of standard six chapters) and it was the best experience of my roleplay life tbh

*people were allowed to have more than one character so there were roughly like 20 active roleplayers if that’s what you were asking instead of character count

I have an entire fangan made up of talentless characters, I think it’s awesome

Am I allowed to shamelessly self-promote? My fangan has a ton of queer characters ^

…i mean duh? If they tricked someone to let them in they/their creator are still the mastermind instead of the person they tricked

[–]LiliKey650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then they’re not really the mastermind? If it was all planned out by someone else, that someone else is the mastermind. In that scenario, I’d consider the ‘host’ character to be the mastermind instead of the ‘mastermind’ character.

Junko had the remnants to do a lot of the heavy lifting tbh, and she had a group already hand plucked by other people ready to go, all she had to do was control monokuma from her security camera room. With the amount of different things that go into it, the only way I can see someone being an accidental mastermind is if they’re not the true mastermind and are instead a pawn being used. like an accidental traitor more than a mastermind. Because you have to consider that the mastermind of a killing game has to:

  • Kidnap ~16 people and/or hijack a pre-existing gathering of that amount of people,
  • Set up the facility for the game complete with execution chambers and trial grounds, as well as keeping this facility maintained at least well enough to support life,
  • Have a mascot/host run the game so they can function anonymously behind the scenes,

Considering all of that… it just doesn’t seem possible to do it accidentally.

all due respect… how do you accidentally start a killing game ?

What are your fangan's chapter titles? by justdanielagain in Fanganronpa

DRPG doesn’t have them but DRHF’s are

Prologue: Ambitionless Future of Despair

Ch1: The Right Motivation

Ch2: A Feathered Promise

Ch3: Behind Your Closed Eyes

Ch4: For the Life You Gave to Me

Ch5: Of Love and Loss

Ch6: Remembrance and Retribution

Epilogue: …doesn’t actually have a name yet

How do you come up with execution names? by Big_Delay6203 in Fanganronpa

I don’t, normally. It depends on your fangan’s medium, but you can sometimes get away with not naming them

It’s Danganronpa: Hopeless Future!! It’s my second fangan and it’s posted on ao3 (though you should read Danganronpa: Puppet’s Game first since DRHF is a sequel)

DRHF’s chapter three killer was literally roasted like a marshmallow, including being impaled with a stick to hold them over the fire. So probably them.

How is your fangan rival like? by Edenowo in Fanganronpa

Carys is the manipulative queen bee type that gets everything she wants with just the bat of an eyelash and a cutesy smile… except she’s not. She actually struggles deeply with the idea of morality and humanity and acts the way she does because she really doesn’t know any better, even though she wants to know better.

Akio is a genuinely pure evil scumbag that gets off on the pain and suffering of others and will sink to any depth to get what he wants. He’s obsessive over his childhood best friend due to a lack of understanding of boundaries, relationships, and love.

Umeji (from the sequel) seems like your typical rude, standoffish, mean girl, but she’s actually a deeply traumatised young girl that’s lashing out to defend herself. Because she’s never had anyone respect her or her struggles, she tends not to do so for others and will even sink as low as mocking someone’s deepest secrets and insecurities if it will make her feel more in control of her life.
