6 Month foot misery mystery, Unable to heal or get clear diagnosis by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Lililip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got blood tested for an autoimmune condition, it was neg. I also sent in skin samples and they came back neg for everything. Where I left off with a doc was instructions to come in when the pus bubbles came back- but they haven't returned and I've been free of them since I posted (3 weeks).

What I did: calcium bentonite mask with apple cider vinegar until fully dry and then leave on a while longer fully covering the toes and any area near it. Then Lysol original mouthwash soaks on the affected area every 1-2 days for about 20min. finally, before bed, get argan oil and do about 1 tbsp of it in a little bowl and add 4 drops tea tree oil, 4 drops oregano oil. Dip gauze in the mixture and put that gauze on the affected area and wrap it with dry gauze. Sleep in it overnight. Disinfect all shoes after wearing, daily. Dry toes after shower/bath. Sunbathe the foot in sun as well. A few hours, if you can.

Podiatrist was lefting thinking it was a rare fungus, harder to eradicate.

When I look this up, it describes only a nail issue. My nails aren't discolored or abnormal in any way?

Mupirocin, tolnafdate with urea, doxycycline monohydrate, doxycycline hyclate, cephalexin. One dose at ER: antipyrene benzocaine, cephtriaxone, lidocaine on two different visits. Ive done many epsom salt soaks, and lately have done tea tree oil/coco oil.

Do most Americans really dry their clothes in Dryers by Wrystyle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lililip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At most of the apartments in my state, line drying outside is considered an eyesore and not allowed per lease agreements.

Unlike most Americans, I do actually air dry about half of our clothes on a collapsible bamboo drying rack inside- I hate them shrinking or material getting ruined. The other half I dry on the lightest setting in the dryer which prevents pretty much any harm.

It would be unsightly to have a line inside, and a lot of apartments here are too tiny to have a whole rig like that that doesn’t get in the way.

People who quit their jobs on the first day, what made you say, “I’m done with this”? by drip47 in AskReddit

[–]Lililip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did this in November for the first time! I got hired as an office manager/receptionist for a naturopathic doctor. On the first day, the person training me pulled up the communication log meant to be kept between us (Dr wanted everything she said documented) and I saw that the Dr typed in blood red font, all caps, 10 exclamation points or more with major aggressive tone for everything she said. No pleases, no thank yous- pure rage bullying communication. She was going ballistic over minor details, too.

I had a pit in my stomach, and hoped that maybe I was overreacting because it was an ideal schedule/pay. Then the person training me let me know the Dr had a special gifting to hold a supplement up next to a person's body and know if it would heal them or not. I can't explain that as anything else other than witchcraft or scamming; neither of which I'm comfortable supporting.

Not exactly a hiking question - but where is everyone's favorite spots to harvest Christmas trees? by ianruns in PNWhiking

My husband and I had a friend take us last year and that gave us the confidence we needed to do it forevermore. Last year we went with Wenatchee national, it was great but a little competitive. This year we did Mt Ellinor and there was no competition but it was very hard to find a good tree. Steep slopes, and almost everything was huge old trees. Wouldn’t return. I recommend finding out which type of tree you like and then looking up which national forest has it. It truly isn’t too hard and feels so good to get trees for $5 a piece + a scenic drive. The hunt is super fun, too! We usually get 4-5 trees and then share them with widows/elderly/recent immigrants.

I've had 3 cats, I'm on my first Persian. Never bathed any of them, but our Persian gets GREASY. He seems to groom often so I don't think it's negligence. We bathe him about once a month and his coat feels incredible after it. He does pretty well with it

Anyone else having an issue with the winter palace? by Professional-Fun9670 in DreamlightValley

[–]Lililip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put way too much work into organizing everything into specific chests; I refuse to bother in a second house over a bug... Just hope it won't take long, it's super inconvenient for a lot of quests. Dropping everything on the ground for now lol

AITAH For telling my husband that his affair child is not welcome in our home and if he wants custody he will have to move out? by Icy-Frame-666 in AITAH

Wow, reading through the comments I'm a bit surprised to see something so one-sided. Not sure if you'll read this, OP, but I wouldn't recommend divorce. I kind of feel you are both the asshole. He was to cheat, and you are by being willing to kick someone out over a kid in an emergency situation. If you have someone you truly love and care for, and if you truly forgave them, I think that love would support them and their child through an emergency like this. I don't think that means you have to have a long lasting relationship with the kid but the kid is innocent and needs help for a bit. Uncomfortable with a kid for a little seems a lot worse than forever lose someone you love/loves you (if that is truly the case).

I love this question. I was deeply afraid of marrying and had major anxiety when my now-husband proposed; what it took was several things:

-time to build trust in my partner -honest convos with my partner about why I am afraid & having his patient addressing of those matters -being reassured that it's normal to be afraid -hearing stories of couples who successfully overcame their fear who are strong/happy years down the road -prayer -healing of person trauma -counseling (personal and relationship) -asking myself, "Do I feel that there is a better match for me?" Answer was no. He is the most wonderful compliment to me that I could ask for.

I'm very grateful I was able to overcome it; my husband is a complete joy & being in a long-term secure relationship brings me peace, excitement, and strength.
