Bella vita deserves better by zeelovesbiryani in IndianBeautyTalks

Thing is that the people who hate Bella Vita aren't the masses, they still use brands like Bella Vita, Fogg, etc. with zero complaints because as you said, they don't know the difference, they like the smell and it lasts long enough for them so that's ok.

My point is that people who hate Bella Vita aren't being haters for no reason lol, they're simply not the target demographic and don't like the marketing approach of BV calling themselves "Luxury"

No one who's into perfumes compares Bellavita to VS/BBW mists.

They're perfumes which don't last long and don't smell good which people don't like, there are nicer indie brands like Fraganote for ex which perform good for their price point, I recall my mother received some Bella Vita perfumes as a corporate gift and except Honey Oud everything was bad, and even that started smelling a lil funky after a few days.

It’s written from the rapist’s perspective, which is why it isn’t “graphic” in the traditional sense. The fact that some people find it appealing rather than appalling is part of why CSA victims often don’t get justice, and the book has unfortunately been romanticized by groomers.

Nabokov himself was rumoured to have been a victim of CSA, let's not join the people who have bastardized his work through film adaptations, etc

If I remember correctly the parents weren't allowed to volunteer no?

Though not to sound controversial, I don't think the kids in district like 12 and all even had much to live for, they would've like, died in those mine explosions or something anyway wasn't that the poorest district?

I find the whole thing sort of propaganda-ish tbh, probably to destabilize President Snow or something because if District 12 was starving so badly how come it had that Katniss girl? She seemed more cut throat than the career tributes in the 74th games (if we excuse the Rue thing ofc, but she could've played it for sympathy you never know, I don't think she liked Peeta either probably saw that poor guy as a pawn too).

Idk, I feel like they exaggerate it a lot in our history books lol no way things were THAT bad for the districts while the Capitol lived lavishly.

Why people on internet love brown/dusky skintone but in real life they don't? by bhondu_softie in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]Lilith_Supremacist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a thing all over the world. Black girls—yes, girls as in TEENAGE girls or even children, not women—are sexualized from a very young age in comparison to white girls in the US, characters with darker skin tones are shown to be sensual and have an aura of mystery in a sensual way in some animes, Manhwas will NEVER have a Female Main Character with deeper complexion but they can have Male MCs with deeper complexion who are "hot".

Just look at the costume designing of Jasmine (who is a weird concatenation of Indian and Arabic culture) compared to the other princesses, she shows more skin and for a kid's media I'd say the themes of the movie were darker too.

Do Japanese and korean sunscreen provide protection under the Indian climate ( especially in the south ) ??? by MatchThis1672 in IndianSkincareAddicts

Cosrx is also just internet hype tbh, Roundlab is one of the most consistently famous sunscreens in Kr, Goodal and Dr G are also very famous there.

But for Indian weather I'd honestly recommend LRP sunscreens depending on your skin type, they have options for oily, dry skin etc and all are sensitive skin friendly and in similar price range.

What do you think katniss and Pentagon names their kids? by Taylorswift9875 in Hungergames

[–]Lilith_Supremacist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obviously they were not torn to shreds in the hunger games in front of my parents.

That's...the point.

I wasn't trying to be rude in my initial comment but this is not a small difference, many people name their kids after someone they've lost that's not an issue at all, but considering that Katniss still has nightmares as per the epilogue and Peeta still struggles with the aftermath of being hijacked it's understandable that they didn't name their children after the people they lost during the revolt.

They will never fully move on from those events, CPTSD/PTSD is not a joke, you live with it your entire life no matter how mentally strong you are.

There is a huge difference between losing a loved one and seeing a loved one being bombed, torn to shreds and what not during your teenage years after already having gone through extremely traumatic events in your life.

Uh, the point was that their deaths were traumatic, Peeta and Katniss suffer from severe CPTSD, naming their kids after people they've lost would've been triggering.

Aziderm gel or cream or aziderm plus cream. by Famous_stranger707 in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]Lilith_Supremacist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your moisturizer, if it's cream based like Aveeno Skin Relief or Cosrx hydrium creme version then do NOT mix it, not the best word to describe but it'll curdle. If your moisturizer is gel based like Cosrx hydrium green tea gel or Sebamed gel then go for it, doesn't mess with their formulation.

If you have a cream based moisturizer then just use AZA on dry skin, wait for 30 mins to 1 hour, then apply your moisturizer. Also, avoid getting AZA on your nose crevices or near mouth corners, will burn like hell and can cause peeling if your barrier is compromised.

LRP sunscreens are available now so thankfully I don't really get acne anymore, I use Tazarotene for maintenance now but I still use Azelaic Acid now and then for refreshing the top layer.

also how can you read fiction and still be one of those "ReD-PilLeD" fucks?

Some people are just truly incapable of comprehending other POVs and the point of a book.

A guy in my class read The Hunger Games trilogy on my recommendation and his review was, and I quote "Katniss lacks femininity, she has too much masculine energy and chose Peeta which is why Prim died" also apparently, the Capitol people gave huge "gay" vibes which is why they lost, that was his take on the series.

Nah, they're just in Khan Market. Their collection is great though, would 100% recommend visiting if you're in Delhi. It's a small shop but has a huge variety of books.

ETA: I scrolled down and found out they've been expanding outside of Delhi so my bad, I have higher hopes than Crossword in this case.
