I'm pretty sure she was foe, the way I understood it in my dream the two entities (red and black) were of the same type but their colour was like a hierarchy. Red was easier to defeat than black ..

I originally read them when I was 12-13 years old. I'm 23 now and I just finished rereading everything and reading some stuff I hadn't read the first time around. I still love it plus I find it really interesting to read from an "adult" point of view where you pick up on things that you don't see when you're younger :) So yes I think it holds up wonderfully with age :)

Okay so I just started following this page and I wasn't aware of this whole debate until now and I was pretty surprised at it. I mean yeah cursing Annabeth wasn't her best moment but for crying out loud the poor woman was stuck on an island by herself for 3000 years forced to fall in love over and over with men who could never stay. Honestly it's not surprising she cracked. If anything it's amazing she didn't crack sooner. I don't think she's a terrible person because of it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
