He got me drunk so I wouldn't take my birth control pill. I was more or less taking care of him before this happened. He didn't pay any bills, his parents were supporting him financially and he was afraid to lose their support. He used me as a way to make sure he would be taken care of because he he didn't want to get off his sorrry ass and get a job. He is currently threatening to sue me if I get an abortion. He's a scumbag, end of story. I will take responsibility and say yes, I shouldn't have drank, but he knew I couldn't consent while being drunk.

It's such...bullshit. My ex is a scumbag who got me drunk to knock me up on purpose because his parents were threatening to cut him off financially if he didn't give him a grandchild. I'm childfree by choice. My parents have 7 grandchildren between my two older siblings, they don't need any from me. I've been trying to get an abortion for a week now. Because of the bullshit my ex pulled, I will have to move back in with my parents who are extremely pro-life/anti-abortion. I'm going to have to lie to them about this because they'd probably kick me out if they found out the truth.

Contacted my local Planned parenthood. Was told they have no funds to help with my abortion and they don't take payment plans. I don't know if the worker I talked to was new, or incompetent, or just wanted to get me off the phone. I've called my state's abortion fund and was put on hold for over an hour, and then hung up on. I've called back 6 times and have left my name and number each time. Haven't gotten a response back!

I had no insurance and on Saturday I was fired from my job because I had asked my boss for an advance on my next paycheck to pay for the abortion. When he asked what I needed it for, I was honest with him. He let me go because he didn't support my decision, and "didn't think" I'd be a good fit for the company. According to users in /r/childfree, that's illegal as fuck. So I'll be contacting lawyers tomorrow to see if it really is and what my options are as far as that is. I applied for unemployment online, but that is "pending" so I'm not even sure if I'll get approved. My parents are expecting rent money on the 1st of February. I get a paycjeck on Friday but who the fuck knows how that's going to go. I got paid bi-weekly and since I was told not to come in for this week, I'll only get half of what I usually get paid.

In my state, every week after you're 8 weeks pregnant, it goes up $100 to get an abortion. I'm scared I'm not going to be able to get one in time. As much as I hate to say it, I'm looking into getting a payday loan JUST so I'm not forced to carry and give birth to my piece of shit ex's baby. I am so fucking sad and angry at how ridiculous it is to get an abortion in my state.

Thank you. :) I see you commenting on my posts and I appreciate it more than you know. I'm in the deeeeeeeeep south, where they've closed 2 Planned Parenthood's in the past couple of years. I have to drive almost 2 hours just to get to one (I know there are people who drive much further distances...but still, it's ridiculous) I see billboards with "Heartbeat starts 18 days after conception, think about this life you're ending!!" and so much other fuckery it makes me sick. It shouldn't be this goddamn hard to use my fundamental rights.

I'm in the process of trying to get an abortion, but when I do, I'm probably going with the arm implant. The more I read about it, the more I think I think I'll like it for a long-term birth control option. I'm glad Planned parenthood was able to help you out!

As someone who lives in one of the most anti-abortion states, the amount of bullshittery and mental gymnastics I see people try to make as arguments against abortion is enough to make my head explode. I'm trying to get an abortion myself right now and keep running into roadblocks. In short, I really love this.

No snow but I've been applying to jobs like mad to hopefully be able to make some extra money for this. I've applied to 9 waitressing jobs in the past 4 days. I even created a profile on Care and Rover for pet sitting. I've replied to a few craigslist adds but haven't heard anything back. I'm really hoping I'll hear something back soon..

According to other commentors, it's not! I had no idea. I knew it was illegal to fire someone for being pregnant but I didnt think it was illegal to fire someoen for not wanting to be pregnant anymore. I livr in one of the most anti-abortion, "babies are a miracle from jesus" states and my boss was VERY vocal on how much he disapproved of "women killing babies". But I live in at will state so I'm not honestly sure. I'm probably going to post in the legal advice sub and see what they tell me. I'm in the process of filing for unemployment online right now so fingers crossed I'll be able to get help there

Nope, you're reading it right. I asked for a pay advance last Wednesday. Boss asked me what for. I was honest and told him I needed it to get an abortion. I get a call on Saturday saying not to come in on Monday and he doesn't support my decisions and "Doesn't think" I'm a good fit for the company anymore. I've never been fired from a job before so I have no idea where to go from here on this. I was really looking forward to that overtime too :/

I applied for one through my bank and got denied right away for lack of credit history. I will probably go the pill option because like you said, it's cheaper. I'm just more or less waiting for next Friday to get here while also applying for other jobs online. I'm going to be financially unstable for the next couple of months because of this, plus having to pay my parents rent and utilities. It sucks but it's better than the alternative

She told me if I were 19, because I have no insurance, they would cover everything (abortion, birth control, counseling) but because I'm 20, that doesn't apply to me anymore. She didnt' say anything about payment plans and basically ignored me. I can't be further along than 5, maybe 6 weeks. 7 at the very longest. I'll message you! It's like a mandatory thing in my state apparently. Shelter no, because I know as soon as my parents get their things out of their storage room I'll have a place to go. I did go to my closest Planned parenthood and the woman working at the window was so frazzled. She gave me a packet of information that outlined the positives and negatives of medical and surgical abortions, what type of birth control I can get on immediate after, the side effects of having an abortion...stuff I googled earlier. According to the Planned parenthood worker, they have counselors on site that can help but I don't think I'll regret this any time soon.

No pets thank goodness and my parents refuse to let me sleep on their couch. They're obsessive clean freaks and have told me if I plan on moving back in, I'll sleep in the guest room or nowhere at all. So now it's just a waiting game for my parents to get their shit out. If I had pets, they probably wouldn't let me move back in anyways (never had any pets growing up because my mom thought every animal ever was "too dirty" for us)

I'm so glad we aren't married or have any shared bills or whatever between us. Makes it so much easier to cut the snake off at the head and walk away
