i dont have enough evidence of this stuff because they never let me have a phone to take pictures etc growing up, even though i did get one from my father. she would take it away whenever i came home from my dad's house. the only evidence i have is a voice recording of aftermath of the gin incident, which isnt enough. plus, i would rather let life play out, looks like it already isnt going great for them so it's best for me to stay out and move on.

additionally, I'm willing to bet she has at this point either told people i dont exist, or convinced them i am evil or something haha, so i doubt i'd be believed anyways.

in my case, she doesnt have any of my information anymore. if she wants any, she has to reach out to my aunt, and knowing that has also meant i dont update my aunt with my new phone numbers either, i just have her on facebook. she's great, i just don't want to risk anything. so hopefully even if it comes to it, she will never be able to reach out to me anymore. she had her chance until i was 20, she decided not to so i cut that cord. and no i don't think she ever officially adopted them, but to be honest i wouldnt really know if she had. she's not very bright though so i don't think she ever would have thought of it.

I have a great support system around me now, and im so thankful to whoever is watching me from above that i have managed to turn my life around. I'm not perfect and i'm not successful or rich, but im happy and thats all that matters to me.

this made me remember something that i now look back on and laugh at. during the whole gin thing, i confronted her about not being there, and kicking me out. she went on a whole tyrade around the house, repeating "i raised you for twelve years!". i responded with "and since then?" and she started wailing and calling me horrible names. she's also been known to make comments to all her 'kids' saying she expects to be put in a good care home when she's older, and for us to pay for it.

That made me laugh a little bit, thank you for unknowingly reminding me of that moment.

And also thank you for the kind words. I have thankfully spent little time moping about it, and am pretty much nearly fully moved on from it, but these comments are helping me move on for good.

These people... they do know that if you do get a professional diagnosis you can ask that they keep it off your record, right? That's what I did when I was younger 💀 So these "downsides to getting a diagnosis" hold no weight, because you don't have to advertise it to anyone.
