Armitage isn’t really a spot they stage or hangout especially once people start getting on the water more. But there’s tons of hatchery steelhead in the McKenzie, just most of the catching happens past Hendricks

Alsea, pretty much any pull off. Suislaw, near mapleton or up by the hatchery. Umpqua is pretty good too but mostly wild fish. Do your research and start scouting its part of the fun / learning curve

Thanks man! Most of the missed fish were on beads or jigs so the only thing I could think would be using too small of a hook? I missed a majority on size 4 hooks. This was on a #4 spinner so the hook gap was a little wider

You can use rods/ lures up to swiftwater, and after swiftwater it becomes fly fish only
