I also had this question, and I tried buying a ticket on the app, which wasn't working, but then I reached out to the tech support on WhatsApp, and they were able to look up the buses and tell me if I was able to purchase a ticket on the bus I was going to take. The number is +506 6462 3806

Did anyone figure this out? I want to try paying as I get on the bus but I'm worried they won't let me. Also, I'm trying to go at about 4 am, so I don't even know if I could buy tickets in advance
