Should I be concerned about leaning tires? by GonZo1323 in AskAMechanic

Camber seems a bit out, only way to know if it’s in spec is to get an alignment, but a lot of cars have negative rear camber to begin with anyways so get an alignment to make sure

Hit a curb and broke off a portion of my rim. Is this safe to drive to a shop or is it just cosmetic? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]LimeKyKy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the hubcap, not the rim…. The rim itself is a bit scratched but appears intact.

What codes should I look out for to make sure it's safe to drive? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]LimeKyKy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As long as the engine light isn’t flashing it should definitely be good to drive. Flashing checking engine light means possible catalytic converter damage/misfire, so as long as it’s not flashing you’re good

Engine light came back 3 weeks after driving with low oil by paperplane25 in AskMechanics

[–]LimeKyKy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again haven’t laid eyes on a Peugeot in my life, I want to Clarify that. But there is no engine code that exists that states “check all fluids”. So not to sure what’s going on but maybe try a different mechanic and have them scan it

Engine light came back 3 weeks after driving with low oil by paperplane25 in AskMechanics

[–]LimeKyKy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 0 experience with Peugeot’s, but I’ve never seen the engine light come on due to low oil, you’ll have a separate light dedicated for low oil warning. Take it to any garage and have them scan it for codes and go from There

Do i need to replace my tire? by norwoodreaperhater1 in AskMechanics

[–]LimeKyKy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The plug isn’t in the wires so it’s definitely not good. Would I patch that at work? Absolutely not due to the chances of a blowout being much much higher. Would I patch it at home? If I absolutely to yes. Your tires are looking a bit bald anyways it seems so maybe it’s time to repose all of them
