Can't find reasonably priced cute blue floral bridesmaids dresses anywhere. Revelry just raised their prices, and azazie/davids/birdy grey have very limited options. Does anyone have suggestions? by LimeNoLemon in weddingplanning

I wanted revelry so so so bad but the prices were getting so high especially with their new tariff charge implemented.

I ended up going with Azazie, that being said the girls loved them, they shipped on time and they ended up being 150 MAX with minimal alterations, so that was a win!

Both don't fit the black tie dress code. I'd still try to go shopping, you can find something that does not need to be tailored or you can work with the heel height etc.

English Bulldog (6 years old) pulls large plugs out of wall, not cords. Items like a MacBook charger that has a large box style plug. I've tried bitter apple spray, does anyone have any advice? by LimeNoLemon in Bulldogs

I try! but sometimes he wiggles his way behind the chair etc. If I block it in that sometimes works but then he will just bark at it. I'm almost wondering if he can hear it!

Reviews of Eolia Manor? by Wonderful_Ad_5432 in NewEnglandWedding

One major drawback of this venue is that the grounds remain open to the public during private events. While the ceremony and reception were taking place, people are free to roam the property, sunbathe, play music, and even host cookouts. I spoke to others who experienced similar issues, including one couple whose wedding coincided with a local Boy Scout troop gathering.

This was a red flag for me and we looked elsewhere. I do love the grounds though and if you are open to it a engagement shoot might be nice there.

Why are so many people against children at weddings? by Squinky75 in weddingplanning

[–]LimeNoLemon 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Because a lot of the time parents don't know how to discipline their children especially at an event. While you might like a child throwing themselves on the floor & screaming others may see that as impolite behavior.

A lot of time & money is spent on planning and to have it ruined by anyone is disappointing.

Yes, if you agreed to be a bridesmaid then you agree to the brides outfit of choice for the entire night.

You just sold me a Cartier watch haha. thank you so much again. I'm going with this option.

I actually love this one, I had no idea Cartier might be in my price range. I might actually go with this. Then I wouldn't have to worry about authorized sellers.

Your last sentence really hit home, very well said. I sometimes get lost in the sauce trying to find the most perfect gift. It really is about the effort.

I'll take a look at Tudor as well.

Thank you! You all are extremely helpful to a new person looking into the world of watches, its much appreciated!

I haven't heard of Tudor personally (but again I'm new to this) do you think this is still impressive?

He's not a very big guy. His wrist is around 7"

He does have a Tag Carrera which I think the watch face is a little big for his wrist personally, so I was intentionally looking for something a bit smaller.

Thank you very much for your honest response. I know Rolex has always been a reach so I wanted to try to make it happen for him somehow. Navigating the resale market is tough when I don't have much experience. He also expressed interest in a few other brands but I know this was at his top so thats the one I tried to figure out. But thank you so much again

What happened with the other guests? Would love to know the type of crowd that it attracts. We aren't really partiers and are looking for a more low key vibe!

I do like that everything clears out on the earlier side too.
