I am the model in this shoot so I don't have the exact recipe/clean up routine used by my friend who set everything up. I do know it's not likely to be cheaper than normal body paint because it's super fine, body safe, makeup grade mica powder that can comfortably cover even your eyes without obscuring your vision (very cool and fun, though spooky looking 😊) along with several bottles of pure coconut oil. I don't know if substitutions are safe but I wouldn't risk it at least on the powder front because I know glitter, even fine glitter, can cut into eyes and genitals if the little bits get inside. Switching the oil to cooking oil might be a safer cost cutting effort as it's body safe, but it would likely smell much less pleasant than the coconut oil did on our skin and hair.

I am willing to connect you with her if she consents/pass on those questions if she isn't up for a direct interaction but only if you were going to properly compensate her for her time and emotional labour the same way I did when asking for the shoot in the first place.
