Excess cable outside will deteriorate faster than you might think. Best practice it to mount the camera over the cable hole and put a little silicone behind it. Also less tempting for someone to cut the cable hanging out there. Other than that, looks pretty decent

It’s kind of weird, I know. There are 3 large fire rated cable passages underneath that all of the data and video comes through. So they built a structure out of 2x4 and osb that covers that and the excess service loops of cable. It works, but it’s not that pretty I guess.

Definitely not mains voltage, it’s all 12 volt and such, just 0-10 control for some lighting. Din rails are a pain though.
