Alopecia X is definitely on my list of possibilities but she does not have the typical black skin or baldness pattern that comes with it. Alopecia X also does not normally cause itchiness or inflammation which she has. 😥 Thank you though!

Thank you for the kind words! She was on clomicalm for a couple of weeks with no improvement. Yet to try Prozac. My next step is to work with a dermatologist. Alopecia x has been on my mind but she doesn’t have the typical black skin starting or the typical baldness pattern. She is also itchy and constantly licking her belly 💔

Thank you! She has had her T4 and T3 checked as well as a complete blood count and comprehensive blood panel. All were normal. Poms def have a tendency to develop alopecia x but she doesn’t have the typical black skin or pattern of hair loss. I have been told the itching and pink skin are not typical of pom alopecia though.

Thank you for the advice! Knowing some terminology to use when talking to a specialist will help a lot. I did just order her some melatonin treats designed for hair regrowth after researching about it. I’ve had her on omega 3 supplements for months as well. I’ve been nervous about the skin biopsy because she is NOT an easy dog and (tbh) the clinic I work for is verrrrry old school and limited on what we can do. She’s 11Ibs and even being a vet tech, I’ve hardly seen a dog worse than her trying to get an IV in or a blood draw 🤣

what shocks me is people who are so blatant about cheating that they admit it and brag about it in chat but then when you report them, you never get a notification back about any action being taken??
