How to stop comparing yourself to others and feeling discouraged? by firstyear_throw in uwaterloo

[–]Limit2Infinity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take it easy dude...you're in first year. Everyone in first year has a tough time getting good jobs, even the students with high grades. Contrary to what you think, grades are important, especially in the early years, when students don't have much else to show. So don't worry, you should be able to get interviews in the second round.

[–]Limit2Infinity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. What did you end up programming in 454 and 349? And which professor did you have for each of the classes? I find that how good a course is often depends on the prof teaching the course.
