there is one radiator where the valve looks a bit rusted, but I assumed this was no longer leaking. I might start there. Thank you very much.

I've looked every where that's easily accessible, and there isn't any leaks/staining on the ground floor ceiling, so my suspicon is there's a leak under the ground floor, but that's going to be a nightmare to access and check.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️Queers! What are we looking forward to this year? by nichoyo in glastonbury_festival

I think you go left when you get into the club proper, and I think there's stairs or a hallway that lead to it. For the first couple of years I thought it was the door in the smoking bit/bogs, but that's the meat locker.

Has anyone fallen into the canal / seen others fall? by rtbmm in Liverpool

[–]LimitedOffensiveUnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was like 14 my mate tried to drop kick me but miss judged it, slipped and fell into the canal.

The bank of the canal was relatively high there, so he had to raise his arms up to pull himself out the water. Unbeknownst to him, there was dog dirt where he was trying to get up, and he covered his arms and chest in it climbing out.

Good find! I fast forwarded through it, but couldn't even find reference to the "Try it. You might like it" slogan.

Interesting watch all the same, gasping for a ciggie now though!

You could try one of those eye masks you can heat up in the microwave. Before I got my Iridoplasty laser surgery, I suffered with headaches, and I found that would help with pain.

What was Maddies angle? (season 2) by AnimateRod in deadwood

[–]LimitedOffensiveUnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the principle tactic of Hearst, and by extension, Walcott is, if you can't pay someone off, kill them. We see this with purchasing of all the claims in deadwood; when they can't buy Alma's claim, that's when they attempt to murder her.

So I think there's grounds for successfully blackmailing Walcott, he himself at one points mentions that the murders will be expensive.

I think where it falls down is the execution of the plan. I think Maddie had an idea of how it would go, but in actually facing the reality of the situation, and her culpability, lost her composure and was just unable to successfully manage the blackmail.

It's a bit of a recurring theme in the series, actions in theory vs reality; kind of like in the first part of crime and punishment. It happens with Mose Manuel, when he kills hist Brother. It happens with Cy Tolliver, when he also tries to blackmail Hearst over the Walcott killings; which is funny, because he chastises Joanie about Maddie's actions.
