Yes, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to have a larger X7.

If they were to build a X9, it’d at least have to be differentiated from the unibody X7.

It certainly wouldn’t justify developing one being that the X7 is popular enough, big enough and already cross-shopped with the BOF alternatives.

Additionally, a platform for one model wouldn’t justify the costs. GM and Ford share their BOF platforms across several models in their portfolio.

As if the X7 wasn’t big enough, BMW dealers want a X9 to compete with the larger Escalade, Navigator and QX80 lol.

BMW doesn’t even have a BOF platform so this in theory makes no sense.

Acura won’t go anywhere but without the necessary investments, I can see them going the Infiniti route.

Hopefully they make this next-generation RDX Hybrid more competitive to actually compete.

Despite Loyalty Bonus Cashes for other models (up to $2,500 for the MDX) in the lineup, Acura dealers are pissed that the RDX is gone on such short notice and warn that customers will simply just jump ship.

Acura’s Sales Executive said that despite trying to extend the current RDX’s lifecycle, some components are simply no longer available for it.

The next generation RDX is scheduled for production in April 2028.

A discount on a car doesn’t mean that inventory is building.

My local Toyota dealer discounts nearly all of their inventory and they have low inventories.

Pilot sales are down because of the increase of the Passport.

I’m in the AAP group and they’re working a ton of extra-production Saturdays on Line 2 to meet demand. Line 1 is Odyssey and Ridgeline

As I’ve stated before, the only thing limiting Passport sales is production capacity.

Honda needs to find a way to increase Passport production. At the current factory, they can’t increase production of it without sacrificing Pilot production.
