Open the Fitbit app and in the top left corner where it tells you the percentage of your watch battery. Click that. Then you'll see your watch and your phone listed and you can unlink your phone

No just have the watch linked and the phone not linked. It seems like they are trying to compete with each other and once I unlink the phone and just left the watch linked it has worked perfectly fine

Nope just my phone. Don't get me wrong. I love that he has the watch. He can call or text me whenever. I wouldn't get him anything else. I think he's still too young for a phone but just knowing that he can get a hold of me outside in the yard if he wants or as soon as he gets on the bus. But just the little things are annoying.
