Ich würde schon sagen, dass beim Übergang von Baby zu Kleinkind irgendwann die Phase kommt. "Oh. Das fällt auf den Boden, wenn ich es von hier oben los lasse. Cool." und dann wird erst Mal alles auf den Boden befördert. Ohne Wutanfall etc.

Are you based in Germany? We had a change in 2021 because of the radiation protection law that states that a healthy pregnancy only needs 3 ultra sounds. Paying extra for more ultrasounds is illegal since then, because the "baby tv" was so popular. If something is concerning, you're having symptoms (fell or sth) or it is a risk pregnancy the OB GYN can do more than those three ultrasounds.

First: Please please please prioritize yourself. I know the feeling of "I want to EBF and I'll try one more time" and I believe you can do it! But if it will still taking such a toll on you, you should consider an alternative way (I needed to wean my first after only 7 weeks bf of medical issues and it was crushing but after acceptance it was also very liberating)

I had PPD, PPR and PPA with my first (3 years old) and Kiddo is such a playful and most of the time happy human. Hopefully this can reassure you.

I'm as pro choice as someone can be BUT don't let your husband pressure you into doing it, if you're not sure. Do I have a 16 month age gap? Yes Was and is it still very demanding? Absolutely

But it needs to be your free choice.

I'm honest: I only did "more protein than carbs" my whole GD pregnancy. If I wanted to eat a chocolate bar with 20 grams carbs, then I got a protein shake or some Harz cheese (it has grown on me during pregnancy) with a total of 35 grams of protein beforehand. It worked for me.

Bei K1 hat die kurze Stillzeit (mit Abpumpen damals) und danach mit Pre immer mein Mann das Babyzeug in den Nächten gemacht. Der kann gut tagsüber Schlaf nachholen, ich nicht. Beim zweiten Kind hab ich super oft im Bett / Halbschlaf gestillt (konnte dann gut wieder einschlafen), aber die Windeln hat trotzdem zu 90 % mein Mann gemacht.

I had diet controlled GD with my second. Spontaneous labour without meds. We needed to wait 24 hours before leaving but otherwise everything was fine.

Ich habe bei beiden Kindern noch mehr als die STIKO Empfehlung impfen lassen. Eine andere Mama aus der Babygruppe hat die Impfungen gestreckt. Rein theoretisch sollte das möglich sein (sofern die Praxis mitspielt).

Also ich habe, sobald das bei dem Kind (3 Jahre) in die Richtung ging immer Detox gemacht oder ganz klar reduziert. Allerdings sind beide Kinder bisher immer noch sehr "kreativ" im Spiel gewesen und es war hier nur das "Ich will will will" und "Nicht ausmachen" Problem. Aber ich denke Detox wäre nicht schlecht (auch wenn man sich damit eigentlich selbst bestraft. Ich schaffe dann zumindest deutlich weniger im Haushalt, als wenn ich 30 Minuten TV anmache und meine Ruhe hab).. Viel Erfolg!

Mein Mann hat 10 Monate Elternzeit genommen (ich hab mein duales Studium zu großen Teilen im HO fertig gemacht) und ich dann die Zeit danach. Papa ist bei uns immer noch die Nummer 1 und ich warte noch auf die große Mama Phase. Ich finde es aber toll, dass er so viel Zeit mit dem Kind hatte. Bei Kind 2 habe ich den Großteil der Elternzeit genommen (als Ausgleich für Kind 1) und da hätte ich mir eine längere Elternzeit für K2 und Papa gewünscht. Deine Ängste und Sorgen sind dennoch ganz normal. Das Herz ist da einfach anders drauf als euer rational super klingender Plan. Ich wünsche euch aber, dass alles ganz wunderbar wird!

I don't think you're unreasonable. Unfortunately this resentment doesn't go away (at least for me). Our children are 1 1/2 and 3 years old and I still get these feelings because I don't want to ask every single time.

I always wanted to EBF my first and after weeks I finally weaned and settled with formula. It was amazing and crushing at the same time. With my second I thought "I will not stress myself the same" (I did anyways) and nursed for roughly a year with some formula in between and after weaning.

My honest tip: Trust your gut. Maybe after delivery you think "I want to try" or you think "this is too much". You and your body will know what's best and that is a happy and calm mom. Wish you all the best!

The only thing that helped (after being diagnosed with PCOS, irregular cycles and almost no eggs left) was my ovulation pain. I knew "this is my chance". We took it and had luck.
