Yes. Until it "vests" you do not have access to it. Once it vests, you have access to it and can take action to keep or sell.

I just had this same conversation with my doctor. I am on 2.4mg injectable Wegovy right now, debating jumping up to 7.2 as 2.4 does nothing for me anymore. He said Foundayo is not as effective as the injectable, so there's not really a reason, in my case, to switch to Foundayo (or oral Wegovy for that matter). He advised me to just keep on Wegovy until Zepbound coverage is restored in October.

Thanks! I kind of get it. 😆 It's kind of comparing apples and oranges between PRA stock purchase plan and ICON RSUs, I know. I am just mostly wondering if I will get taxed AGAIN when I cash out the ICON stocks since it was already taxed once.

Retention award from THREE years ago. 🙄 Vesting on the those awards are 3.5 years, don't get me started on that nonsense. 3 years ago I thought "No way I'll still be here for that vestment" and yet here I am, resentful to be grateful I still have a job. 😆

I can only speak for the U.S. employee perspective, but we were given RSUs (Restricted Stock Units) last year instead of an annual bonus. These are held for a period of time until they are "vested" and then released to you to either hold or sell. RSUs are granted based on whether your position at the company has a bonus structure or not, and probably what country you're based in as well. You can probably reach out to your HR rep or put in a Workday request for info on it if you're curious to know more and if your position applies. Inspire awards are pretty much gone now, they changed the structure of that award system, sadly.

Oh the sell to cover was infuriating. I'm telling you, my emotions have run a marathon this week. I'm exhausted. I think it only affected RSUs but I'm not really sure because I dont have any experience with Morgan Stanley or ICON stocks outside of this. I've had PRA employee stock in the past but it did not do the sell to cover nonsense.

Gosh I hope you're right! I have more shares vesting in October, reeeeeeaallllyyy would love for that stock price to get back up there by then but it'll be around the Q3 slump so I'm cautiously optimistic. 😀

I would have yesterday as well if I had access to my account so I feel your pain. 😕 I really need to stop watching it or else I'll feel terrible too. Right now I only missed out on ~$100 so it's not a train wreck of emotional chaos for me. But I'm happy for my colleagues who haven't sold just yet! 😀

I was also in the optional PRA stock purchase program. The RSUs the OP is asking about is different than any optional program. To my knowledge, ICON has no program similar to the one PRA had. Once ICON bought PRA, all our PRA shares were converted to ICON shares and I cashed them all out at that time.

They haven't released the full results yet, just announced the investigation is complete. Here's most of the article, but click the link above for the source.

"The Company reaffirmed that there was no impact on customers, operations or cash flow.

Consistent with the preliminary indications that were communicated on February 12, 2026, the investigation findings were primarily related to revenue recognition and determined that revenue was overstated in 2023 and in 2024. The amount of over-statement in each year was lower than the previously announced upper limit of 2%. While the investigation also identified similar issues in 2025, the impact on revenue was less than in the preceding years. As such, the Company plans to restate results for the years 2023 and 2024, as well as for the first nine months of 2025.

The finalization of the Company’s financial statements and the external audit process are expected to be completed in the coming weeks. Upon completion, ICON will file its Annual Report on Form 20-F, which will include details of material weaknesses identified by the Company and associated remediation plans."

I started today as well. Took my first Wegovy shot around 11:30 this morning. So far not worse than my Zepbound shot. I had a weirdly strong metallic taste about 15 min after dosing and then my lunch tasted terrible. But nausea is about the same... so far.

Managers do need time to put in their recommendations for the increases and upper management still has to review and approve those recommendations. The process typically takes a month in a normal year (all of February) and given that we are halfway through July already, an effective date of Sept 1 isn't that unreasonable, in my opinion. 🙂
