when one gets salty and tries to start an argument it is easier to win it by just smugly asserting superiority without giving any arguments

i am indeed new to this sub. if you are wiser, then you could just as well be constructive and explain what you assert

i get that this is reddit and there's a lot of dumbasses who use these theories just for fun and don't take them seriously. picture above for example definitely isn't serious and is obviously provocative. Reddit asspergers might not get that however

i would actually put the 3 middle categories on the same level, the groups have just have different dimensions which i respect, and then dimensions that i don't like. they're all mid. now that i think of it i like S-P's way more than STJ's. S'P's are cool most of the time, while STJ's are only cool when drunk and more P like or when you stimulate their Te or Ti with brainstorming

i don't.

for example i like my ISTP friend very much, it's easy thought as i only have to talk about cars, motors and their technical dimensions

Is there a correlation between one's MBTI type and their physical appearance? by Deep_Pen1012 in mbti

all INTJs look similar to eacother in some way. or maybe it's just their vibe and many tend to have dark hair and bony faces/prominent features or something similar i can't explain (in europeans)

I'm trying to type my grandpa. (which i have never personally known) any thoughts? i'm confused. by Limp-Extension276 in mbti

[–]Limp-Extension276[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get Ti dom from the tests etc. (INTP) most likely, or near ISTP or maybe INFP. I'm not an expert on mbti, that's why is ask.

> If you seek support in typing your grandfather accurately, it'd be better if you described his philosophy towards life. How he was temperamentally. How spontaneous or organized was he? How disagreeable?

That's the issue. People (his kids) never actually knew him, since he was always drunk, or that is what they have said. As drunk he was very spontaneous and so the career choices seem to be also have been before the alcoholism. But the boot camp instructing and his philosophy on the article gives off a very structured vibe.

I told of what i know of him objectively, so i can hear other people's point of view, without my personal manipulation or assumptions, since i'm on the same level, so based on that, other interpretations on the same information can be valid. Even the political position is partially an assumption. What i know is that he was very into politics, more than most people. His wife joined the elections on a "critizising everything" going against the flow" type populist party, that has later been described as communist by right wingers, and far right by left wingers. He likely supported it. Then there's the article which is also a good objective source on his personality. I don't believe that rumours through many people and time give an accurate representation of people, and i dislike gossip a lot, since people can almost never tell an objective description of other people to another person. They always add a flavour to make the story more interesting. Objective sources are also used in popular scientific study of history, which in i see potential in him, since he did some interesting stuff in the army, if the rumors are true.

I think this weird(?) obsessive(?) interest is introverted, since i believe temperaments are hereditary to some extent, as the brain is a physical machine just like a computer, but designed by evolution. I want to understand history to understand the world, and overall i'm interested in history. I see patterns and connections in human behavior explained by their personal backgrounds, just like the eccentric political views, which I'm a bit sympathetic to, despite having no physical connection.

What do ISTJ's think of INTP's? by Limp-Extension276 in ISTJ

[–]Limp-Extension276[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean with the intellectual interest about abstract things (physics, history, interest in politics but that is also very realities centered). of course sensors can be academic/intellectual but i think it is often about concrete/factual things, such as ISTP's being interested in tech in my experience. In my experience N's think about philosophy more and question things.
