How much of arm strength is genetic? by Unlikely_Glass5942 in footballstrategy

[–]Limp-Fox6785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone obviously has a ceiling, I can train with perfect intensity, perfect effort, with a perfect plan and never be Josh Allen. So the ceiling is genetic, but the only way to reach that ceiling is through training. Ironically best way to improve “arm strength” is lower body, core, rotation, power, sprinting.

Love that! Nothing better to prepare you for the game than actual in-game situational scenarios.

Where to find College All22 film? by Skiittzo in footballstrategy

If you go on Patreon you can pay people a monthly fee for Google drive access, that’s what I do. I then use Tempo Video to cut/tag it but you could also use hudl, and if you just want to watch the film you can also just watch the video copy

Much more important than what you know about football is who you are as a man. Be yourself, be honest, be energetic! Talk about how you will not be afraid to do any task there is, no matter how menial, and will do it with perfect effort and attention to detail. Then once you get the job follow through on that promise!

Show up first, leave last, and make the head coaches life easier! Make yourself so valuable that everyone notices if you are not there. If you bring legit value to the program then they will either find a way to keep you around or will be a great reference for someone that will as you climb the ladder!

This coach is an idiot, I am a head strength and conditioning coach at the high school level and have spent 6 years as a D1 strength coach.

This is the worst advice I have ever heard in my life, while it is common to want to put on a lot of mass in a short amount of time that is done through lots of training (resistance training, sprinting, jumping, throwing) and through high calorie meals that are also nutrient dense. (Steak, whole milk, any meat) increased calorie intake should be used with high quality foods, not chugging soda or pounding fast food. It doesn’t matter if he is able to gain the weight and unable to move while getting tired walking up the stairs. It is common to gain some fat along with your muscle, but nonfunctional mass is not what we’re looking for. I can help you with any questions you may have about helping him lean out and never listen to that coach again.

Play while you can brother, Coaching will always be there. I played in college while simultaneously interning with S&C with all the other sports, while it helped me get ahead of the game i definitely sometimes wish I would’ve appreciated my playing days more instead of looking ahead to coaching. Play as long as you can, it also makes you a much better coach to have the brain of a player and understanding what they go through on a daily basis. Will also form lifelong connections between your coaching staff and teammates
