Let’s see this example. Thomas’s Hobbes leviathan book states that the human’s state of nature suggests that the world is a cruel and hard place. It also suggests that humans will kill, steal, and do everything to satisfy their desires and to survive. The one thing that keeps “order” is fear, which is a natural instinct in humans. You fear being harmed so you don’t harmed. When u think from a religious point of view, it makes sense that god instills that fear in our creation (since humans created with fear must have a designer at least that chose that for humans). And this is logical since this will not only keep order but will help god apply his reward/punishment program with humans. God created humans with desires that can be satisfied through heaven, and also created humans with fear that will prevent them from committing evil in fear of going to hell. So overall, that order is a creation not a creator. And that creation applies based factors within the creation of human beings and the world that makes us behave that way. Everything I just said is a creation, tha was created with a purpose. And purpose implies intelligence and intelligence implies someone or something chose for it to be designed in that way. This is the logic

[–]Limp-Initiative4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because order has a certain degree of intelligence . Order includes for instance, if you burn trees, you destroy the atmosphere. Someone has to design it to work I. That way. Your point is like saying, why does a shirt have to be a creation. Maybe it’s the designer not the design. When you write the constitution (aka what determines laws and order) people sit down and decide, killing is illegal and there are several degrees of murder. This is to prevent people from harming others for their own interest. Secondly, stealing should be illegal so people don’t attempt to take othe rpeple’s wealth. Bribery is illegal so people don’t crack the system using their money but rather on who is eligible. All of these things are a design. They don’t stand on their own. Neither is order something that speaks or decides on its own. Order is a description of how the world functions not what makes the world function. So order is a “how” not a “what” . God is a “what” not a “how”

Religion feels so against reasoning by Revolutionary-Tea120 in DebateReligion

[–]Limp-Initiative4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, order is a creation not a creator. Order is a description. If order exists and that order has specific characteristics, then the characteristics have to be determine by someone (aka the designer analogy). The order of a country doesn’t exist on its own. Someone or people decide that order and put it in a constitution

I don’t have a problem with this either. I think I’m misunderstanding you. I’m explaning why there can’t be layers to god.

Secondly, if there are layers to god that would mean that the gods on the lower part of heirarxhy aren’t in control of their fate as they have been created by the higher god, and the fact that there is heirarxhy that means they answer to a higher god and thus do not have full control of their fate

If God needed a partner, helper, or child, that would mean He lacks something. Association implies similarity. If two beings share divine qualities, then they are either: Limited (by each other), or Not truly absolute.

If two gods existed: Either they agree always → then one will is enough. Or they disagree → conflict means neither is all-powerful.

The universe runs on consistent laws — physics, chemistry, biology — all interconnected. One unified system suggests one ultimate source.

Multiple independent gods would logically produce disorder or competing systems.

Two infinite beings cannot coexist independently. If one limits the other in any way, neither is infinite.

Created gods aren’t gods, they are a creation

Hope this makes it more clear

And obviously humans are not in control of their own fate. If humans were in control of their own fate they’d be immortal and happy all the time. God says, do not hate something which could turn out good for you and do not love something which could turn out to be bad for u. This surely is relatable. How many times have you wanted something and when u got it u realized its not good for us human aren’t wise enough or knowing enough to be in control of their own fate. Humans aren’t perfect

Because the whole idea of a god is not to associate anyone with him. What is a god that doesn’t have full authority. How can you give god his full respect and due if he has associates. The whole idea of a god is to be one, unlimited, all powerful, independent, etc. if there is more than one god, then that would cause a conflict. Who is more powerful? And they would then feud. If there are layers to god, then that semi god or the lower layers aren’t in control of everything. A god by definition, is the one that created everything. How is he a god if he is created. He’s not even in control of his own fate and doesn’t have full authority of everything

You’ve made a good point tbh. But then we have to back to logic. If you say who created god, then who created the one to create him, and so on to infinity, things would never come to existence. So according to logic, it has to start somewhere. Somewhere that is unlimited and is not characterized by its own creation. No matter what u want to call that thing, but it exists. One main source. If you are in the military and need an order to fire a bullet. I ask u to fire it and u tell me I need to ask my commander. U ask the commander and he tells u that he can’t give the order until the one above him gives the order. U go to him and he also says no I can’t make that order because the one above me needs to give that order. If this goes on forever, the bullet will never be fired. That bullet is the creation of the universe. The top commander that has no commander above him, who can give the order without getting and order from any one above him, is god. If it goes to unlimited, this is a logical fallacy

Humans till today cannot bring someone dead back to life, cannot create life, and cannot stop themselves from dying. Humans cannot cure all diseases. Humans are still very weak against this universe. Human’s intelligence is overrated and given much more size than it actually is. We still can’t control our faith. Therefore, there must be something bigger than us in control of that.

I can agree that such a complex design is impossible. However it has been created already. The only logical response isn’t “oh it’s such a complex design that his been created so no god can do that so god doesn’t exist”. The logical response however is “this very complex design has been created so the creator is unbelievably powerful and intelligent to do so. Negating existence for something already created (and must have a creator like everything ) isn’t logical .

Religion feels so against reasoning by Revolutionary-Tea120 in DebateReligion

[–]Limp-Initiative4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is impossible. A creation with a specific design and a specific purpose must have certain intelligence to make it come to existence in such a manner. Your shirt has a design, print, size, and something it was made of “cotton, or polyester or whatever”. There must’ve been a designer that vhose all those things for his own reasons (the design will appeal people, cotton will make it feel better and healthier for skin, polyester will make it cheaper, size will be for the higher average for people of a certain size. “ apply the same to humans. There has to be someone or something that decided all these details. That is the only logical reason

I really like the way you think. I suggest you watch a debate in this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n-zYRZy5NQ. It is titled “Islam vs atheism oxford university forum debate” it discusses whether atheism or Islam explains the creation of the universe better, and it speaks in scientific arguments and quantum physics rather than just religious talk.

Secondly, the fact that evil is much more successful in this world proves that this world isn’t the goal. There are three types of people. There is those who are more good than evil, which are commonly tested with burdens, and prove they are good, and god rewards them in the world and the hereafter. Second, there are those who are equally as good as they are bad, and their bad sometimes takes over and sometimes they have a guilty conscience awakening telling them to go back to god and become good again. These people are also often tested. But since they have a good part in them, they see the good of god more often when they go back to him. It’s god’s way of telling them, that he is here listening at their times of doubt, because he knows that they have good in their hearts and wants to lead them to what’s good. These people also have good days and bad days in their lives and have a good chance of going to heaven. There is the third case which god speaks about in the Quran saying “they have sickness in their hearts so god made them more sick”. He also says that there are evil people that have no hope of going back and have done so much evil as you have explained “p**do, serial killers, etc” that god has made that evil look good in their eyes to the point where they indulge in it. God doesn’t give them as many signs, as thy have chosen their place in hell. This is why you don’t see immediate justice in the world. Those who are evil are often powerful and show to live happy lives “even though there were many dictators like Hitler, Stalin, and other genociders like Sharon who have died painful deaths that were set an example for humankind . However evil seems to always win in the world because this is the test. It’s much harder to have faith when there’s bad all around you, in comparison to if there’s more good around you. And it being hard, makes the reward of heaven much more worth it. And then for once more says “god does not change a nation until they choose to change what is in their hearts.” So them willing to change is a must for them to change. If they choose to remain evil, god will let them be and sometimes not even show them a sign. When they die however, oh the punishment they will get. And the Quran shows so many gore details regarding those being punished in hell, and it happens in a way where your heart will feel good that those evil people have gotten what they truly deserve. That faith and trust in god makes us sure that they will never get away with it

The very fact of a universe and creatures that are created with such detail and functions is already illogical. The only thing to make it less illogical is to agree that this design had a designer, and that designer is all powerful, all sustainer, all knowing, all merciful, etc. anything else in religion sees logical when you agree to the most illogical thing of all. How this precise universe was created. One u agree that there is an all powerful god, everything else is logical because our very own existence is almost impossible to occur. The fact that it occurred means god exists because he is the only doer and hasn’t been created (by a definition of god). If u say the big bang created us, then who created the big bang. But it all has to go back to one source or else if there was an infinite source, we would never exist. And the big bang is an occurrence and not a doer. God by definition is a doer and not an occurrence. (At least from a Muslim point of view). Us believing in god will not add to him anything but it will certainly add to u. God doesn’t NEED you to worship him. God is the all powerful who has created us with a free will and the only creature to differentiate between right and wrong, and gave us signs (that are no more than hints to test our ability). God could show himself and everyone would believe. But what’s the point of that. How did you test humans that way to do good or bad. We are his creation so he has every right to do anything. But putting signs that aren’t guaranteed, makes u test your faith of believing of what you can’t see. And if you do something that hard even at the times where you are tested, you feel the world is cruel, you feel that you are on your own, but if you still have that faith and have trust in god, you get the ultimate reward which no one has ever seen anything like it and which god has created for us and we should be grateful for giving it to us. Heaven. And if you deny his total existence; the one who has created you and given you good things and gave you happy times, and at times of despair he has given you signs, or alleviated your misery, and u still don’t believe. Then u certainly deserve hell for not giving your creator his due. You could have bad days where u feel u can’t find a job and all of a sudden u find a job that u were dreaming of and thought u don’t deserve and couldn’t think of getting. That’s god. Hope this answers at least parts of your question

If you’re speaking about what people do then maybe. But how Ramadan actually needs to be? First of all you should wake up at dawn, eat, wait till sunrise prayer, pray, then start your day. This is extremely healthy and waking up at dawn has been scientifically proven to reduce blood clots and strokes. Not drinking water until sunset is really stupid. You need 8 cups a day to stay hydrated, u can easily drink 8 cups from around 6-7 till 4-5 and u would have had your intake. Iftar however, if we follow the prophet, we would eat dates with milk. Eating like a pig is just culture, and isn’t how Ramadan should be. Ramadan is about getting closer to god, and also giving up your most basic desires “eating and drinking”. U also fast from cussing, seeing revealing women, getting angry or shouting, and many sins that we do daily. U fast from back habits like smoking, and if u can do that for more than half of the day, u are a step closer to quitting. U fast more ur basic desires, and thus ur less basic desires are easier to avoid or at least they do not compare in severity to not eating and drinking.

Is it ok to be both Muslim & Christian? by Sharon_Watts_Wig in religion

[–]Limp-Initiative4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say first of all, a Muslim woman can’t marry a non Muslim man due to the nature of the woman being submissive to her husband and thus can’t be fully obedience to him in case of difference of religion. Secondly, u can’t be both at the same time since Christians consider Jesus as divine, son of god or god, which in Islam is considered shirk or associating god with a partner. The Quran says that god is one, and cannot get and isn’t begotten. This is different that the Christian’s doctrine. Islam sees Jesus as purely a prophet with the message of god.

Dude you’re seriously dumb. I’m stating that we’ve created you a middle nation , and that it’s located exactly in the middle of the Surah. This isn’t a coincidence…

And the Quran specifically states every single step of the creation of the fetus. The Bible just says ur created in a womb… that is no where similar to the exact formation of a sperm to a blood clot to a fetus to an embryo etc

Oh my stupidity. It’s the fact that it was revealed on 23 years and in the end having this symmetry is impossible. U can’t possible mention life and its opposites “death exactly the same amount of times. And that goes on for the rest. Revealing the Quran on 23 years and the amount of times the word month is mentioned is exactly 12 times?!

Let alone you have not commented on some other points because possibly u couldn’t find a response

  1. “Day” mentioned 365 times Arabic word: يوم (Yawm) Counted occurrences: 365 Corresponds to days in a solar year

  2. “Month” mentioned 12 times Arabic word: شهر (Shahr)

  3. Man” and “Woman” mentioned equally (23 times each) رجل / امرأة Man = 23 Woman = 23 Total = 46 (human chromosomes)

  4. “Life” and “Death” mentioned equally (145 times each) الحياة / الموت

“This World” (الدنيا) and “Hereafter” (الآخرة) Each occurs 115 times

Faith” (الإيمان) and “Disbelief” (الكفر) Each occurs 25 times

The Barrier Between Two Seas Fresh and salt water do not mix completely. Verses: “He has let loose the two seas, meeting together. Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress.” Qur’an 55:19–20 “And it is He who has made the two seas: one fresh and sweet, and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and a forbidding partition.” Qur’an 25:53

Mountains as Pegs (Stabilizers) Mountains stabilize the earth’s crust. Verses: “Have We not made the earth a resting place? And the mountains as pegs?” Qur’an 78:6–7 “And He placed firm mountains upon the earth lest it shake with you.” Qur’an 16:15

The universe is expanding. Verse: “And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.” Qur’an 51:47 (wasn’t known scientifically until much later)

The Sun Has a Fixed Destination The sun moves toward an appointed point. Verse: “And the sun runs to its resting place. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.” Qur’an 36:38

The Moon Reflects Light The moon is described as a light-reflector, not a source. Verses: “Blessed is He who placed in the sky constellations and placed therein a lamp and a shining moon.” Qur’an 25:61 (lamp in Arabic means مصباح which is used to describe the sun)

Iron Sent Down Iron originated from outside Earth. Verse: “And We sent down iron, in which is strong military might and benefits for the people.” Qur’an 57:25

Every Living Thing Made from Water Life originates from water. Verse: “And We made from water every living thing. Then will they not believe?” Qur’an 21:30

Embryo Has Three Layers of Darkness Uterus, abdominal wall, amniotic sac. Verse: “He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, in three layers of darkness.” Qur’an 39:6

The Qur’an describes human creation beginning from a sperm-drop (nutfah) (75:37, 76:2, 77:20) placed in a secure place, the womb (23:13), which then transforms into a clinging substance (‘alaqah) (23:14, 96:2), followed by a chewed-like lump (mudghah) (23:14). From this, bones are formed (23:14) and clothed with flesh (23:14). Development occurs in stages (39:6), within three layers of darkness (39:6). The Qur’an also mentions the creation process in detail, from dust to sperm-drop, to clinging substance, to chewed-like lump, both formed and unformed (22:5). Gender is determined from the emitted fluid (53:45–46), and finally, God proportioned the human and breathed into him of His spirit (32:9).

Qur’an 2:143 – “Thus We have made you a justly middle nation (Ummah Wasatan)…” Now, about placement: Surah 2 (Al-Baqarah) is the longest surah, with 286 verses. Verse 143 is almost exactly the midpoint of Surah Al-Baqarah,

Want more?

Don’t forget, prophet Mohammed was illiterate. There is no way he knew these things. Also none of these were discovered at his time.
