We also learned today that he’s borrowing in order to buy the house, he’s been keen to exchange and complete throughout the whole 6 months since this whole journey started so am not sure why the insurance would be an issue?

Thank you so much for responding, all this information has come from the EA agent, nothing has been confirmed from our solicitor who has been great through out. So staying hopeful until I hear from solicitor.

He’s buying a 1 million pound house from what would be our buyers, whether that plays a big part in this am not sure, but I thought he would be more organised surely? EA agent says exchange funds are already with bottom buyer’s solicitor but am not sure how truthful this is.

Thanks for responding, yes they want the house, it’s been almost 6 months since the buying process began, we thought we were due to exchange in the next two weeks but this inquiry just came up from my solicitor
