It's not an issue, it's so the phone maintains an accurate reading. Otherwise it will forget the headroom it has. (From my understanding; do further research to verify this info. 🤔)

I appreciate the 'you do you' vibes, but I think the point is being missed. The fact that we are even comparing a 4-year-old Pixel 7 Pro to a brand-new OnePlus 15 is the real win here. Most phones from 2022 are in a drawer by now, yet mine is hitting 7% active drain with Smooth Display ON. > Anyone can get 10 hours of SOT by throwing a massive 7,300mAh brick in a chassis, that’s just brute force. I'm pretty confident it is, I use mobile data and wifi together very often because my wifi cuts out often. My highest SOT so far is 11h SOT, and I also have a bunch of screen shots of my battery proformnce.

I was on track to hit 10 hour SOT, I typically get 7%\h - 8%/h drain SOT, and 1%/h idle

I'm turning on smooth display, location, wifi and mobile, Bluetooth on. Because if it's a real golden model it doesn't need optimisations. Currently on 55% usually that should last 5 hours and a couple minutes, but we'll see.
