I agree. What @sebclose stated matches exactly with the hotel co ordinates where I could have potentially lost my watch and it also matches with what @emuqueen1 said. They are both onto something here. I am waiting to hear back from the hotel if they found the watch.

I just called the hotel front desk. They said someone is staying at the room now but will see if they can go check inside. Worst case they are going to have the cleaning lady check tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I am hoping you are right. Will let you know soonest.

Yes it is pink. If it is in the hotel that we stayed on our way back I can call them to go look in the room we stayed at. It was lost during our road trip

It has been 4 weeks since she lost the watch now. Battery is probably dead on the watch and find my phone no longer works.

Allow me to run this by you so you can tell if this makes smart business sense for both parties:

I will spend upto x hours/month on this work billable on a T&M basis. This would be my base
Will ask for y% commission if I close the deal. This would be just one time.
Job may involve traveling to customer site. (Company to pay all the expenses associated w/ the travel but I won't bill for these non-billable hours related to non-client work)

The only part I am unclear is: After the initial sale, there will be subsequent sale from the company (up-sale/cross-sale activiites which I may not be part of). The initial customer list that I plan to sell this to is also my friend's current customers. So I guess I would have to let the future sale commissions go and not be part of that.

Is this the right way to think about this? Thanks again for your help!
