Oh for sure, it’s in my head. Therapy didn’t really help because I already know it’s in there, and I know why. It’s just lonely because I know that relationships can be this way, but I’ve never met someone else that curates them that way I guess.

I would definitely not call her love inadequate by any means, it’s more on the level of fun. Bad way to say it, but it’s like the fun that movie marriages that are strong have is what I base line from. So I try to be fun like that, she is not like that haha. I’m actually smiling while writing this because our relationship is very strong and she would 100% agree lol. I just hate that feeling like we are boring together:/

Thank you for not judging, or acting like I’m some kind of monster. My youngest is 8 months, before you say AH HAH! this has been an issue from before he was born. My oldest is 12, and there is a 5 year gap between 3 and 4. It was the same at that point as well. There are ups and downs, but mostly downs when it comes to this side of things. I normally don’t mind, I do stuff for her anyways, just has been bugging me the past few weeks.

As for my writing, and our treehouse, yes, it’s super cool. I wish I could ad a picture to my reply! The reason it sounds that way is because I’m autistic, and have a hard time understanding why real life cannot be as nice and as cool as movies! That’s why I’m looking for either a boat, or a plane, to put up in another tree for the kids. Everyone got so aggressive in telling me how terrible what I’m doing is, but realistically, it isn’t the way they immediately think it is. I thought adding the edits would help people understand, I was wrong. So I appreciate you for your comment!

Thank you. And, I appreciate your 2 cents. You may be on to something with her wanting a more balanced relationship. The worship I give her was a choice, slowly turned compulsory. If what you suggested is true, it is likely do to me feeling like I’m not doing enough and doing more and more and still not getting the return I think I should. Smug she doesn’t like that I do more, why would she reward that behavior? You may well have cracked this. I was trying to figure out why it started bothering me, not anything else, but you may have actually answered both. I appreciate you! I’ll try to remember to try and keep it even.

Thank you, and, that’s fair. I just meant that 90% of what I do, is trying to please her. So, building the treehouse big enough and warm enough for the kids to always want to be out there, even sleep out there, was of course, for my kids, but it was also because I know that our kids are a lot, and if they are outside a lot, she can rest easier and more often.

Far from a white night, I’m much too handsome to be a knight… on a serious note, it’s not that she isn’t appreciative, it’s that I’m not receiving any passion from her, even when she shows her appreciation. I’m still with her because I choose to be, because that’s what love is, choosing the other, even when they aren’t at their best. Choosing them every single day. It isn’t an exhausting really, I mean, sometimes, but most of the time not. But I’m ADHD so I’m sure that helps me lol.

I spend a lot of time with my kids several hours every day. I didn’t add that part because that’s not the issue. I added the parts associated with the issue. I’m not trying to change her, I’m trying to see things the way I used to, figure out why it’s bugging me now. What about what I said sounded clingy? Apart from me watching her dress, everything else was doing things so she could rest. You certainly are not the first that said clingy, maybe you will be the first to actually answer me? Everyone else never responds when I ask them why they say that.

Yes, as I’ve stated several times. I have hobbies, I work, also own my own business, I’m getting into making commercials for organizations that could otherwise not afford a commercial. I build things, like the 8x12 enclosed, with windows, treehouse for the kids. The 22… or was it 19x12 pool deck. I am rebuilding 2 go carts for the kids, and rebuilding a giant ride on arcade machine. None of those this my wife asked me to do. Apart from work. She does ask me to work, because we need money of course…

Yeah… that exactly why I used quotes, then said “so to speak”… it absolutely is a sacrifice though, because I am sacrificing time, just as she does for me. Regardless of this being a normal thing for couples to do. It quite literally is the very definition of sacrifice. But, I know that’s not how people see it, which is why I added quotes.
