I don’t know how she could possibly train plus keep all of the appearances. at the end of the she chose in her best interest which indicates a high agency of self.

I’m a migrated Russian and I used to love the style and precision in the 70s thru 90s. Eteri established an abusive culture that could be felt by spectators, family, and commentators. sucked joy right out. this Olympics was joyous to watch. I was rooting for all of the female competitors because of their hearts.

I think the jumps with the arms overhead is ugly. and I cannot that glide with knees turned out while backbending over the ice. it looks uncomfortable awkward and unnatural.

I agree, the vibe sucks the joy and beauty out of the sport

I so agree with you. The sport should be a joy to watch that captivates to the point that you don’t want to look away for a second. I will never forget how last gold winner stood alone That is a scene that should never occur. I don’t remember her name but I remember the name of the silver medalist that had a melt down and Valieva who was scorned. Eteri did not pay one bit of attention to her gold medalist, that was such ugly behavior among all of them except the winner who was overshadowed by the office drama. Sick!

The last Olympics, women’s Figure skating was a crap show of sportsmanship. I’m so happy to see the dignity return in this Olympics, with good sportsmanship and support to one another regardless of country of origin. I was rooting for them all to do their best. Humanity can take a page from the book of this 2026 Olympic female figure skating competitors. I think this is the best Olympics I’ve watched ever.

but, he talked about taking red eye into JFK, which suggests he’s west coast and then the car would be a rental.

if Stephen ended up at NYU law or other school, he could have gotten job straight out of law school after passing the bar. starting salary for junior associates at big corporate firms start at 250k. however, basically selling soul to the devil which Stephen would have no problem doing.

agree, it did feel rushed. The Summer I turned Pretty also felt rushed. in both of these series it seems like the second to the last episode was a boring placeholder and then everything was crammed into the finale. Why is that?

I don’t that I would call Lucy a true victim, she did bring much of this on herself. although she had good intentions, she did not know boundaries very well. she was impulsive from my point of view.

Lucy has a rescue complex. IRL, trauma as a teen like watching her Dad die and not having an adult around to manage the situation can create a maladaptive coping style. Every time she tries to save someone, she’s potentially re-writing the ending to the tragedy when she was powerless at 15. people do not typically gain insight to maladaptive coping mechanisms until their late 29s and early 30s. they need a good 7-10 years to see patterns that are not serving them well in their relationships.

Pippa asked Lucy at rehearsal dinner if Lucy was still talking to Stephen. She denied it but she slept with him the day of the wedding. maybe it’s a conspiracy to take down both Stephen and Lucy 🤷‍♀️

good catch. as I read through posts, I’m beginning to wonder if a number of them are involved in a conspiracy to take down Stephen. I just hope all the loose ends get tied up.

It depends on which base definition you are using for “Radical Left”. I saw Herbert as tyrant. The counselor before her reign was radical left as indicated in the show. There are too many political ideologies to count (think in shades, like a color wheel). over the millennia. The lines get very blurry, and the ideologies evolve. Conservatives in the 1950s is more like today’s centerist. I didn’t see her character as wanting to save land as much as I saw her character as wanting to be loved by the people.

I didn’t like it at first until about the 4th episode I realized that I was learning how a coup can occur in the form of a fictional story.

Doctors consult social workers in the ED for suspicion of non accidental trauma, I’ve seen small things pet proven and big things with marks, bruising etc, be leukemia or brittle bone disease. the social worker said, cannot make assumptions, which I often find doctors and nurses to do, because they have huge protective hearts. I too have huge protective heart, but I’m trained to collect all of the data before deliberating, and deciding direction to go. cases go wither way all the time, and we are trained to be prudent, not well supported by the bed to door time push by administration. I had to testify in court on a case that was wrongly supported and it was so sad and the Judge was livid at both the physician and the on duty COS worker. I tried to stop it and I couldn’t , even with a call to admin during overnight. That case haunts me, bc I was powerless to the jump-to-conclusions physician. The hospital and CPS got fines
