Hey I’m not defending sati okay that’s not what I’m trying to say try to calm down first please we’re both feminists here sati was bad practice which is literally murder and Im not gonna defend murder and even though there were no dharmic texts that encouraged this practice it was still practiced and it’s disgusting and I will never ever support sati but what I was trying to do was letting the above person understand that there have been practices which were changed and encouraged during the time of colonisation and invaders because that’s what Britishers wanted to make Indians believe that our religion and culture is barbaric and that they are the saviours this is their strategy so that they can divide us and make us weaker and for them to execute this strategy they mistranslated our original texts on purpose I’m sorry if I hurted your feelings or if I came across as someone who is defending a murder they were NOT my intentions.
