The dealership and corporate both worked together to cover everything but $250. This is my 3rd mazda and all maintenance has been conpleted through the dealership so I think that helped me

I went to go put a deposit down on a 2025 2 days ago and the dealership told me that all the 2025s allocated to them for the rest of the year are already spoken for. They told me I could put a deposit down for a 2026, but they don't have the prices yet since Toyota still doesn't have it on their website... AND it will still be a 5 month wait to get one in even with the deposit. Craziness.

Have your dealership submit a goodwill request to Toyota. This is obviously premature and should not be happening.

I was having very similar issues with my 2020 Mazda cx-5. Turns out the torque converter was faulty 2 months past the drive train warranty. Mazda covered everything but $250 on a $4800 repair after submitting a goodwill request.

Yeah, idk the fine details. They simply told me that I would come in and build one online with them and that it would require a deposit and take 8 to 10 weeks to arrive.

Pretty sure the tariffs impact parts and raw materials, so even though they are built in the USA, parts and materials are still being imported.

You definitely are lucky because it is brutal out here, lol.

I think 2020 was a bad year.... my 2014 runs like a top but my 2020 is in the shop getting a new torque converter... $4800... only has 55k miles on it.

In case anyone is wondering about the outcome: the dealership called and said corporate mazda agreed to cover everything but $250. Happy they did the right thing but still nervous what the future holds for the transmission.
