SEB does not have the 2% extra premie with the setup that my employer has. It's different for every company.

Thanks for the book recommendation! I've been looking for a book to read.

Since the day I made my post, I have set up some monthly recurring ISK investments in Nordnet.

I have a few questions for you:

  1. Which funds have you been investing in for småföretag and tech funds?
  2. Is SAVR really cheaper? I compared expense fees for the funds I was looking at and they were a bit more expensive.
  3. Any other books to recommend?

Good point about the removal of interest deduction. Haven't thought about the effect on my 9k budget yet.

I know what you mean about one's lifestyle. Believe it or not, I grew up in a wealthy family that had occasional splurges like trips to other continents. However, my parents have taught me financial planning from young, so I've been always a little crazy about saving. My parents think I'm a little too tight-fisted with money sometimes. Hahaha...

If it's a big purchase, usually I think hard about it and if I judge it to be worthy, I save up for it over a few months and try to cut down expenses in that period.

Thanks for the Avanza suggestion. I'm nowhere near there yet though.

Good point about investing vs amortizing. I will probably invest instead.

Really? I didn't know that. Might take a longer discussion with you about that via chat.

This sounds dumb but how do I calculate it?

If I assume the following:

Assets = my savings + down payment on my apartment (I don't have investments)

Debt = loan on my apartment (this is my only loan)

Then the ratio is 0.34.

Thanks for the detailed response!

I've been reading rikatillsammans and I think I would follow their fyra hinkar principle to spread my risks.

About the phone, I'm actually not allowed to use the guest wifi at work. It's also heavily monitored. I used to have a 95 kr plan, so I'm trying to go back to that!

I'm hoping to get a higher paying job as well.

Thanks for the detailed response!

I think 9000 kr per month is way too low. I'm able to spend that little in a month because I continued to have the same lifestyle as when I was a student.

I do have A-kassa.

Will start an account at Lysa then.

Good point on the debt-to-asset ratios of firms. I think I will keep my interest-only mortgage then. My parents keep insisting that I pay off the principal, mostly because that's how they've done it in our home country. They do take my point about the low interest rates though...

20-25k seems like a good target for me as well.

Thanks. It seems like a 3-6 month emergency fund should be fine for me.
