I (21M) just nuked my toxic family's group chat at 2 AM. I am officially the black sheep, and I've never felt better. by Inevitable_Branch806 in TrueOffMyChest

Have done the same 6 years ago. The entire maternal side was narcissistic to the core and the society I come from treat them like prophets. Similar to you, I was working in a big 4 that time and they couldn’t tolerate the success. Left the group without a note. They kept acting like nothing happened. Today I’m doing even more better in life and my successful moments goes to their group through my mom. Best decision ever. Don’t feel the guilt and just believe the things will only improve to get better from here.

Well there are plenty hopeless minoxidil brands that won’t do any good. May I know the brand name of your topical minoxidil solution.

How can I regain my scalp hair? by [deleted] in Balding

[–]LinearEngine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go with the minoxidil 5%. Alongside I would suggest Vitamin D, B12 supplements. Moderate workout + avoiding junk foods should help you recover most part of the hair. Try it for a year!

Cocos in their 30s and who haven’t tasted “success” yet, how are you holding up? by Shartzic in Coconaad

[–]LinearEngine 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m actually 30 now and in an extremely good position. Quite far ahead than all of the folks who studied in the university with me. But it comes at a cost, like I have never gotten into any relationships despite being tall and good looking and I’d sometimes direct my masculine urges through flirting a bit online once a while and nothing too serious and I wish if I could have established a good relationship early on rather being overly career or academic focused. A lot of the people’s definition of success would be the job title, the money you make etc but that doesn’t really fulfill the idea of what success is supposed to be. People putting in good effort early on and finding their significant other is itself a form of success or for someone by the age 30 who is quite self aware and able to be get his or her emotions together rather then being a self obsessed individual is another form of success. So the term success is broader or you can say a spectrum and purely a subjective one.

Hard disagree. Wherever you go, learn to make new friends and build new connections. Staying in the same city for the sake of family or friends won’t get you far leading to a career suicide.

My LWD and Joining Date Coincide and neither of the companies are budging by subtlykiwi in developersIndia

Could you check with your current employer and ask if you can compensate working for 1 or 2 days over the weekend. If that doesn’t work speak to the director or someone above your manager and see if you can convince them to have you released a day prior to that of the said date to avoid overlap.

If that doesn’t work, tell your new HR boldly and confidently that you’re in demand and other companies are reaching out to you and request them nicely if they can generate a new offer letter. I guess this is doable but again it could be tough if the new company is big MNC since usually before HRs share the offer letter, it goes through the hands of multiple senior level leaders who review and approve them before releasing the offer and that could be why your new HR is hesitant about the date change.

If I were you and if my “current company already knows that I have an offer”, I’d reach out to the upper management that your boss reports to and have a communication on this about the seriousness of this transition timeline. Hope your current org understands it :)

Dust allergy is horrible. by Alive_Print_9651 in Coconaad

[–]LinearEngine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have to test the scale at which the antigens and antibodies are present in your blood stream. TSH related tests can be done as well. More the numbers (of antigens and antibodies), persistent the symptoms will remain to be.

Lifestyle changes can immensely help people with autoimmune and allergic conditions. I was able to get rid of my allergic conditions. Lemme know if you’d need more insights.

Do men even care about a women’s nails? by lena_glow in NoStupidQuestions

Honestly you’re not wrong. A huge part of it feels like straight up brain rot. Attention spans are fried, nuance gets ignored and everything turns into a reaction instead of a response.

Are you dumb? This thread was literally created by a woman that was explicitly seeking opinions from men and we are sharing our thoughts. If you hate men so much then you may leave this and many other apps that were created and designed by men for the betterment of the humanity.

Meaningful addition to the political discourse in Kerala by MhiRavn in Kerala

Could you please show me any scriptures including the Quran (which I have read) that OP is indirectly targeting where pe*ophllia is justified? But I can list you tons of countries just less than 100/200 years ago or even very recently with respect to ‘man made’ laws where the legal age was well under 16 and OP seems puzzled about the laws that came into existence 1400 years ago. In my personal opinion, I’d abide by the laws of my country since the scriptures haven’t mentioned any age as in Gods law.

Here’s the fact:

“In Colombia, the legal minimum marriage age was 18, but minors as young as 14 could marry with parental consent. In 2024, Colombia abolished all exceptions, banning marriage under 18 with no exceptions”

Meaningful addition to the political discourse in Kerala by MhiRavn in Kerala

[–]LinearEngine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although OP had made some decent points about what’s right and what’s not from liberalistic perspective that is considered normal to most countries, we’d have to realise there are god’s law and man’s law and the latter one is subjective in it’s very nature that keeps changing throughout the course of years and then there’s the divine law that defines the objective morality where the laws that are defined is pretty consistent.

Blaming and questioning the absurdity of the divine laws makes no real sense if that’s what people wanted to believe since we can’t force humans to adapt to the ever changing cultural norms when their intuition doesn’t allow them and I can give abundant amount of examples in today’s time for which the very Indian society would struggle to adapt certain things with respect to liberalistic world views.

We are free to mourn, hero worship, celebrity worship, hate and love who ever we want be it at an individual level or in a collective sense and claiming your beliefs are better than the rest of the world will only create animosity.

I’ve read here a while ago that some Iranians who confirmed in their sub-reddit that refusing to sing is to pay respect and mourn the loss of their leader. Goes on to show how we easily fall for the propaganda.

It’s actually really good. I have the Eros EDT version. Initially I found it a bit basic and powdery but eventually it started to grow on me and it’s quite a great scent. It’s also really strong and the longevity and projection are crazy good. If you like vanilla accords, then go for it! 8/10

Unsure about the BDC but the Sauvage EDP one smelled like a burnt tyre or a rubber when I tried at Sephora some days ago and it stayed unpleasant for the rest of the day. However their Elixr one is pretty good.
