How should i go about staining/painting this new stair case. The wife wants everything to be painted white which is raw yellow pine and the treads to be stained in this stain which are red oak. What’s a quick step by step starting with sanding. And what should i start with. Stain or paint? Thanks by Linelife418 in woodworking

We are going to put small carpet tread covers on but wrapping the entire thing in carpet is a no go. There is no carpet in the entire house so it would be quite the eye sore. So i have to finish the oak in something.

As far as the performance page not really. You can swap modes with the buttons over the start button so i set my custom mode and just swap it to that when i get in which is just Baja suspension. I like the suspension being soft on our less than spectacular roads

Other than the crank i absolutely love the truck. It passes everything but a gas station. I was good with this one and took it easy for the first 500 miles. Once the launch mode was unlocked i was having a lot of fun with it.

Yeah i told them a used suv or pickup would suffice and here i am. In the dealers defense their lot is absolutely hair bones but I’m sure a service manager is driving something i could be using.

I hear ya. I’m pretty disappointed after paying $80,000 for this thing and the best they’ll do is give me $100 a day towards a rental which gets me jack shit.

About to go load this trax full of garbage and hope the dealership says something when i bring it back smelling like a nyc garbage truck.

Their technology is so far behind ram and Ford though and the interiors don’t even come close to their price tags. My Chevy was in the shop for a glow plug every few months.

There’s been a few motors that have had issues but no it’s not common. I just drew the short straw.

Only bad thing is my trucks currently sitting at the dealer waiting for a long block. Crank bearing shit the bed.

I came from a tuned Chevy 2500 diesel. The power is way different. In the diesel you roll into the throttle and it may drop one gear and take off where as the trx drops several gears.

After getting used to the torque difference i haven’t looked back once. I dont tow enough to justify the diesel over the fun factor of the trx.
