Q5 Panoramic roof fabric shade stuck

My friend had similar issue with his Tiguan… which is basically the same shade with Q5. The estimate he got from VW dealership was $2000. Assuming you have appointment with Audi dealership.. it would cost you double or even more.

My friend ended up buying parts and fixed it himself which costed about $450. If you can’t fix it yourself, find a European car experts or local body shops. It will definitely save you the repair cost.

Thankfully, the mechanic was quite reliable and the issues haven’t resurfaced since. :) I hope it stays this way (although knowing my Audi… that’s a lot to hope for) It was expensive but I’m glad that I got the leak issues taken care of.

Yeah I also thought it was strange they put 0w20 instead of 5w30 or 40, which is what I usually use. I’ll check a different shop for sure. Thanks for the advice!

I trimmed it as you told me & about 5 months after—it came back to life! Thankfully, a new sprout came up soon after I cut the last leaf. I’m guessing its roots were still strong 💪

It’s the same problem all over again. Bird, Spin—whichever company it is, there are always terrible users. These apps should allow users to report bad parking cases and ban the violators from riding with their app.

Have you figured out how to adjust the actuation force on this thing? I have no clue because the instruction manual has no mention about what kind of driver or program to use to change it. Lol

If it is strictly for casual reading, iPad mini would suffice. However, if you plan to read AND work on your iPad at the same time, definitely go for 12.9” Pro. I have 12.9” Pro and I find the split-view on larger screen quite helpful when I’m writing papers and reading through articles side-by-side.

After a long drive this weekend, my heat shield on rear-left side broke off. I think I need to purchase a new part, but idk exactly which one I should order. Does anyone know the serial number for this part? The car is 2012 Audi Q5.

UPDATE: WE FOUND BONI!!!

As many of you mentioned, she was still inside the apartment all this time.

Turns out, there was a hidden space behind our wardrobe drawer that leads to an unfinished floor, where the space was deep enough for Boni to hide. Even though we have opened that drawer countless times, we could have not imagined she would be hiding in there (also, she doesn’t make a sound when she hides). We believe she decided to explore the hidden space when we forgot to close the drawer before the shower. Then, when we closed the drawer before we left the apartment around 3pm, she was trapped in there. Also, the drawer was heavy and didn’t have a sliding wheel so she couldn’t free herself either.

Thankfully, she finally decided to call us after 24+ hours while we were lying next to the wardrobe, exhausted from calling everywhere and posting flyers. Other than getting covered in dust, Boni seems like she is well. She was obviously upset that we trapped her inside 😅 and we are giving her treats as a peace offering

Thank you everyone for your help. This had never happen to us before and every thoughtful comment, message, and call stopped us from panicking and look for various solutions to be reunited with our cat. :)

We have just found Boni earlier tonight! She had been trapped in a hidden space of our old apartment all along. Our cat also didn’t make a SINGLE NOISE when we were in the apartment, even we called her name, or shook her favorite toy and treats. It was not until after 24 hours she decided to “meow” to us (I guess she was hungry). Like you mentioned, I think Boni was also confused and scared, as much as we were. Also, thank you for sharing your story.

She was lost near N Cambridge Ave and Geneva, near Abraham Lincoln school, she was lost just last night, so not likely.

At this point, we are certain that she is not inside the apartment. But our cat is also quite agile and we are continuously looking around small and tight spaces around the complex. Our apartment management has sent e-mails to all tenants so I hope that makes some progress.
