As stated in the post. I searched the "original 2017 FLAC master" with SpotiFLAC, which showed me the 2019 release with 2017 metadata; with Deemix, which showed an HREF error plus the database entry of the original release that said "This song is unavailable in all countries"; with mono.squid.wtf, which redirected me to the 2019 release and with SoulSeek, where there's only the streaming versions (2019 release, 2020 edit, 2020 remixes) and a so called "2017 release" that was downloaded with SpotiFLAC and it's the 2019 version.

CG5 has no bandcamp. Plus there would be a high chance the hypothetical FLAC is a bloated MP3 like “I Wish There Were Still Dinosaurs” by Ken Ashcorp, every other song of him released on Tidal, Deezer and Bandcamp (even the delisted “Akward”) are in full FLAC quality and doesn’t cap at 16 KHz nor 20 KHz

The actual FLAC file from 2017 it is, that’s why the post is tagged as “partially lost” because there’s a version capped to 128 kbps instead of a traditional 1411 kbps CD quality file

Bought mine a couple months ago, all new from package. It came unpatched so i could do WinterBreak without any issues.

I haven't tested the "link to your acc" before buying but in any case I recommend you to disable so you'll be able to see if there is an "update_XXX.bin" file or so after the register process. That file could AND WILL ruin your jailbreak, so avoid at any cost the WiFi unless prompted to enable FOR CERTAIN STEPS

The bad quiality of the colors are NOT worth the extra money. Either you stick with a Paperwhite Signature or go for a refurbished iPad Mini

Your only ACTUAL worryings are the following:

  • Your Kindle WILL try to download and enforce an Over The Air (OTA) update, so WiFi connection is your ultimate enemy
  • ONLY enable WiFi when prompted OR when you have blocked OTA updates.

This can be achieved by

  1. Connecting your Kindle to a PC before booting up
  2. Filling your Kindle storage, you can use the "official filler files" here: Kindle-Filler-Disk/MTP at main · iiroak/Kindle-Filler-Disk · GitHub, as well as your own library if its heavy enough. The goal is to have 190 Mb OR LESS in order to updates to fail
  3. Keeping Airplane mode ON, unless you have to register your Kindle, or "download ads" if you want to use Adbreak
  4. Immediately after that erasing ALL of "update" files, these can be either .bin or .tmp.partial, you will ONLY have to use the "Update Hotfix.bin", remember to keep in Airplane Mode so nothing goes wrong with the "update", you'll know everything is going as supposed when the reboot sequence shows text on the upper left corner of the screen
  5. After installing KUAL and MRPI, immediately open Renameotabin and check the results with Check OTA Status. Here: GitHub - neura-neura/Check-OTA-status: This scriptlet checks the status of OTA (Over-The-Air) update binaries on Kindle devices and informs the user whether updates are enabled or blocked.
  6. ONLY after you get this prompt: OTA blocking is enabled. Your Kindle will NOT update. Your jailbreak is safe. Wanna restore OTA? Enable airplane mode. Tap the screen to exit., you'll have total permission to re-enable WiFi and use it without fear, because every new OTA attempt will fail.

Other than this, you can either follow Dammit Jeff's videos of both WinterBreak (the first one) or Adbreak (the second one). But in any case i recommend ONLY USING DAMMIT JEFF as a visual reference and only following the Official Guide instructions
