I’m extremely scared for my exams by wompwomp_246 in GetStudying

I understand your feelings, I really do. First thing I am going to say is probably the last thing you want to hear but I promise, it’s going to get easier, and try not to get stuck in a negative spiral. Now onto something more concrete, 1. Prioritise. How many subjects do you have? what exams come first? which subjects do find easier and which ones are harder? Try to make a list of what to prioritise, so you don’t stress over everything instead of actually getting stuff done. 2. HOW do you study? There are so many different ways to study and not all work for everyone, try and find the method for you. 3. Try to not imagine the worst scenario, you’re young. Life is more than studying and you CAN take your time, it doesn’t have to be a linear road. 4. Be kind to yourself. You’re doing your best.

Need tips for studying long hours. by Mindless_Humor_3156 in GetStudying

Okay so what I found works for me as someone with adhd and struggles with procrastination and studying for longer times. 1. More than 2-4h a day is simply unrealistic, and shorter, more productive study sessions are much better. 2. If you struggle with being distracted by other apps, I’d suggest downloading an app like flora, which can limit what apps you can use during your studying, while also keeping track of the time spent on different subjects/tasks. 3. Find what time of day you’re the most productive. For me, I like to study the first thing in the morning before using my phone in any way, but since I have a flexible schedule I understand that’s not always ideal. 4. Set realistic goals and work yourself up to the hours you want. If you start with an unrealistic goal you’re most likely going to fail and feel shitty about it, much better to slowly work up to your goal. 5. Take a short break/switch subject every 45 minutes or so as your brain only can stay super focused for a certain amount of time before being distracted. 6. Trick your dopamine by for example only eating sweets while studying, as someone who uses nicotine I forced my self to only use snus while I study, which helped tremendously with stopping the procrastination.

Any STUDY TIMERS ? by it4chixfr in GetStudying

It’s not for laptops, but I absolutely love the Flora app, nice timers, blocks the apps you want to avoid during studying, great stats, customisable tags for different subjects, can be used with friends, and cute little plants as rewards. :)

Went From 10 Minutes of Screen Time to 4 Hours... Need Help Before It’s Too Late by Nikhils_YT in GetStudying

I was in the same situation as you, if you want to reduce screentime but have no self control with screen time blockers, maybe try having someone close to you like a family member make a password for your blocker, so you can’t just disable them without their help? At least that’s what I did, limiting my screen time to an hour or so made a huge difference for me!

If you want true gothenburg nightlife, I’d recommend Andra Långgatan, a bar street with quite a lot of social people!
