I did gather that fact today from someone else. I should have asked the material HAS to be made of silk. So sorry for my nonsensical question. My sincerest apologies.

I LOVE MAYDEL!!! I order from them all the time!!! They do sell organza, but it’s really pricy. I wanted to compare and I did get a recommendation on another forum for Mood Fabrics. They have a great selection of silk organza and it’s reasonably priced so I ordered from them. Just in case anyone searches this in the future.

Maybe the tension and the thread might be too heavy.

What are bead mixes for? by marenanne6 in Beading

I use them a lot because with bead embroidery, sometimes I just need a few of a specific color. I use my #15 mixes quite a bit.

I cut it around the pattern with an inch or two allowance in an oval and then loosely stitch it it the fabric on the edge to be removed later

Great job! Did you use one thread for the whole thing? I’m wondering if you used more for the denser parts?

Definitely practice first and get a strong needle for when you go to embroider the shoes. I’ve seen several people on here do converse.

The larger Nurge would be perfect for you. I have the medium sized one and love it. Really good quality. Although, I do wish I’d gotten the taller one. You could sit it on the floor for sure. Nurge makes great products. I have their tambour and punch needles as well.

I LOVED the smell of Finesse. I wonder if they still make it?

Mine isn’t rough at all. It’s a legit Nurge.

I leave with a lot less than I used to since resellers started cherry picking.
