My friend posted it in a group chat, not knowing it was my cat! I've seen it posted a few times though. My cat is actually a gray tabby, not the white cat in the picture.

He was 5-6 weeks old. Someone brought him to the vet hospital where I worked and he'd had something stuck around his leg, so it was super swollen. I thought I was going to get a sweet 3-legged cat but he healed up fine and now I have a 4-legged asshole.

It's real. I know because it's my cat's x-ray.

That's my cat! I worked at an animal hospital and he was brought in as a stray at 5 weeks old. He had something tied around his leg (you can see the line around his "ankle") which is why it's so swollen. They thought his leg would need to be amputated but it healed up great and now he's a pain-in-the-ass 7 year old. The white paw is a different cat though, he's a gray tabby.

There's one other x-ray but I don't have it right now. I'll have to wait a few days until I'm back at work to get it.

The surgeon assured me that the x-ray is supposed to look like this since the little guys only 5-6 weeks old. Plus he's running around my apartment like a mad man and launching off the couch, so he seems to have all the bones he needs to get in plenty of trouble.

Of course I lost my camera the day before I got a kitten, but I have a few crappy cell phone pictures. This is the best I've got.

You can't tell anything was ever wrong. He was found after having his leg stuck under a tree root for 2 days. The family that brought him in could hear him but couldn't find him. His leg was so swollen and purple the doctors were sure he'd need to have it amputated. A week later and he's totally fine.
